Visible Planets: Morning: Venus, Mars and Jupiter Evening: Saturn
After all, of course...it's the Gemini Magic Window!I've written quite a bit lately about eclipses and eclipse windows. Of course, I'm totally into observing and experiencing what comes along during these very portentous times. Sometimes its big and blasting events make the message clear and at other times, not so. Subtleties and nuances can be all I get. Just like life in general, its in retrospect that vision is 20/20.
For me, the June eclipses carry plenty of pertinent Gemini information. There's the classic gossip via media, cellphones and texting Weinergate and the perennial scholastic and graduation themes. Games of sport for entertainment baseballs boys of summer and the NBA finals - transportation, travel and commerce gas prices! - unemployment and our struggling economy, along with cartoonish politicos Sarah Palin (and her vaudeville bus tour), Newt Gingrich (announcing his Presidential run on Twitter and then eventually getting fired by his own staff) and Donald Trump (firing himself as a candidate) going on with his pomp and pompadour. I'm not sure if there's any prophetic message in all this hoopla except that weve been playing the game too long! - but I do find it humorous, after all. And thats 100% Gemini. In my personal life, its all about siblings phone conferences and emails talking about whats up with each other and reminiscing about what happened in childhood, how we each got to where we are today and where were headed now. Im getting my columns written, doing what I need to do around "here" and juggling now thats Gemini! to keep everything afloat. I received a call from my sweet niece Devan the other night about her son Grants discovery of an owl perched in one of their backyard trees. It was on the evening of June 3rd his second birthday. Turns out there were actually five owls, but he was the one who spotted the first one. She wanted my take on it.
Fortunately my niece is cosmically inclined and owns the book Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams, which says it all. I asked her if shed read the passage on Owl since the spotting, and she said, Yes, of course. And, as synchronicity would have it, I happened to have a copy sitting right next to me when she called. I opened to Owl and read a few lines. We laughed at the animal wisdom and metaphysical insight. I felt honored and blessed to be included in the loop. Owls are sacred medicine birds and when they appear in our lives, its big medicine. They are symbolically associated with clairvoyance, astral projection and magic, both black and white. Well, hes a Gemini and Gemini rules magic, I said. Owls are the animals of shamans, witches and sorcerers. They also symbolize knowledge and wisdom. And, it was his birthday after all. So, of course, its a powerful omen. Obviously, hes a magician. And wise beyond his [two] years."
Harry Potter, move over, here comes Grant! Good luck and may the metaphysics of the Gemini eclipses transport you to places of goodness and grace, health and happiness. And - as always during eclipse cycles - pay attention to the signs and omens, there is Gemini magic in the window!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
The full Moon/lunar eclipse on Jun. 15th brings to fruition a series of events that have been in the works for quite some time. Life is an equation factored by action and consequence. As one who knows the power of self will, you stand on the precipice of surrender. Understand your part in every play, let go of pride and do the next right thing.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
With good luck Jupiter now in Taurus, supporting efforts and boosting confidence, take a big-picture look at your life and determine whats most valuable and important. Dream manifestation is favored this year. As they say, take care in what you wish for. Hopeful new beginnings are themes now. Put your best foot forward, no matter what you do. Be good!
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
The early and mid-June eclipses focus on Gemini craft and cunning, medicine, magic, mental and metaphysical realities. All possibilities of life and love dance, dive and dine with both the divine and diabolical. Its all about polarities and intentions. With each relationship and circumstance, ask yourself, Whats the good, positive choice? Then go ahead, make it.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Dreams and omens abound as cosmic energy floods the personal and collective subconscious. Repeating images, messages in stereo and synchronicity in general are avenues to mystical and spiritual realms. Pay attention to feelings and intuition. With a Cancer new Moon/solar eclipse on the horizon, prepare for a major rebirth. Rest, relax and regenerate.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
The June eclipses highlight your involvement in groups, with friends and people out there in the world that you admire and respect. You may find your appreciation deepening and inspiration expanding regarding others. A six-year cycle of career effort is reaching a high point this year and recognition is likely. Stay on it, maintain progress and keep the faith.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
Personal and professional goals take center stage as the Gemini eclipses illuminate your solar 10th house of career and achievement. Focus on new beginnings and fresh starts regarding work plans and projects, but maintain a realistic, practical pace and keep your eye on the ball. Multi-tasking simply does not work. Do it one thing and one day at a time.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Hopeful, uplifting and even inspirational energy comes filtering through the cosmos as Gemini eclipses support philanthropic efforts, pure motives and good intentions. But, amidst the spiritual fluff and rose-colored glasses, its imperative to remain realistic and practical. Others may not be as golden-hearted as they say. Focus on the facts.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
With good luck Jupiter now in your solar 7th house of long-term relationship and commitment for a yearlong stay, you may be fantasizing or even considering marriage. Fancy that! The main thing is to stay practical and realistic when it comes to others. There is plenty to share in partnership, just dont jump too far or too fast. Be cool and stay calm.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Lunar and solar light shines on significant others during the month of June. A powerful new beginning in a relationship, a binding commitment to someone or something and an overall awareness of the important influence that the people you care about have in your life are themes. Do your best to give your best and then feel good about your part.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
With generous Jupiter in fellow earth-sign Taurus for the next 12 months, put on those rose-colored glasses and take a good look around. The world is a beautiful, bountiful place and you are blessed to be in it. Focus on gratitude and experience the magic of grace. Embrace and cultivate artistic talents and express yourself via the power of personal creativity.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Great good fortune comes to those who stay close to home and focus on the cleanup, improvement and enhancement of their immediate environment and living situation. Take care of your own backyard and let others take care of theirs. There is plenty of job security right where you are; you need not waste time or energy telling others how to live. Enjoy life!
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
The dreamy influence of Neptune in your sign portends 14 years of increasing mystical and creative sensitivities, but Jupiter the ancient planetary ruler of Pisces is now in earthy Taurus, helping to keep you grounded. Eclipse energy encourages a daily practice of self-care and self-nurturing. Take it one day at a time and enjoy each day as it comes.

Gemini Eclipses and Cosmic Coyotes
"Its another new moon: when the magically minded make wishes and astrologers attempt to divine this cycles intentions. But fates are personal. Even if a new moon chart could be forced to describe them all, no single astrologer could tell that many stories"
Dana Gerhardt @ www.mooncircles.comI always pay attention to what happens to me and how I feel at the time of solar and lunar eclipses. Prophetic, ominous, auspicious or propitious, whatever the adjective, the bottom line is this: Awareness is the golden key for unlocking the mystery, magic and magnificence of eclipses. With awareness, we tap in to both the subtle and obvious, ingest the physical and metaphysical; discern, interpret and intuit.
Last week I had the great good fortune to attend the West End edition of Art Goodtimes' Talking Gourd at the Livery in downtown Norwood. The featured speaker was Amy Irvine, author of Trespass, the highly acclaimed memoir of a courageous, half-crazed coyote woman living at the edge of the promised land a book of love and loss, longing and belonging in the redrock spires and pink sand washes of southern Utah. Her presentation was focused on her current work-in-progress, Terra Firma, woven together with threads of Mother Earth and Father Sky, evocative dreams and devilish demons, sacred space colliding with uncertain territory. It was a rather mystical experience, for me, the beginning of a shamanistic quest. I could feel it in my bones. The eclipse window opened, and I jumped in. This week, as the energetic essence of the Gemini eclipses emanates throughout the cosmos and giant Jupiter moves from Aries into Taurus, listen with your heart. Hear the message in the wind. Be willing to feel your feelings and embrace what comes - the joy and sorrow, the ups and downs, the darkness and the light. Gaze into the mirror of self-reflection. Alter your perspective, look deeper, see further, explore. Eclipses are doorways to higher consciousness, and the floodgates are open. In Gemini - crafty coyote and trickster of the zodiac - we are reminded that there are many points of view and a multitude of realities. What we see depends upon our beliefs, biases, and points of reference. The world turns and our minds spin. Illusions, fantasies; real or unreal? Roll out the magic carpet, pack your wand and begin the quest. Onward Cosmic Coyote!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
Generous giant Jupiter moves from Aries into Taurus this week and wont return until 2022. This important visit takes place in 12-year cycles and denotes touchstone periods of golden opportunity and growth. Doors close as others open. Guardian angels gather and surround you with light, illuminating the road of wellness and wealth. Stay on the path.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
While the Sun winds its way through air-Gemini and the Bull travels along the practical, realistic path of life and love, an emerging sense of hope drifts through the cosmos. Jovial Jupiter is moving into Taurus for a yearlong stay, serving to awaken, inspire and encourage personal exploration, discovery and enlightenment. Go in the directions that feel good. Enjoy!
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Candles flicker and cakes are cut as happy birthdays celebrate another revolution around the sun. Count your blessings and make those gratitude lists. Guardian angels are flocking to follow your motives and intentions. Jupiters move into your solar 12th house presents you with a year for mending fences, connecting with Spirit and cultivating goodness.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Planetary motion and movement during this powerful eclipse week guarantees plenty of expansion and opportunity regarding friendships and fellowships. Get out and make connections with people you respect, admire and want to be like. Seek out good influences and healthy relationships as you look beyond the horizon but live consciously in the present.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
Everyone is joking and jostling as gentle giant Jupiter makes a move from fiery Aries into earthy Taurus. White-hot, fast and furious, devil-may-care actions and attitudes are no longer favored or popular. Its time to change the channel to calm and centered, patient and persevering. This may be a stretch and challenge for the Lion, go for it. Plant flowers, practice yoga.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
Professional goals and social status take center stage as the Sun moves in to your solar 10th house of career and achievement. You may also find yourself cleaning up messes or improving the condition of your life and environment. Meanwhile, Jupiters encourages a practical, down-to-earth approach. Take it easy and pace yourself. Stay focused and do it right!
Libra (Sep.23-Oct.22)
Everyone loves Jupiter and its movement from excitable Aries to tranquil Taurus makes headlines in the celestial news. Expect a shift from a default position of personal anger and outrage to personal acceptance and inner peace. The bottom line: it simply makes sense and feels a whole lot better! Especially regarding other peoples assets and estates!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Celestial information and cosmic messages travel quickly, especially when planets pack their bags and make the move to another sign. Jupiter and Venus change residence this week and its an intriguing combo of wit, will and wisdom. Great good fortune comes to those who practice patience, cultivate peace and focus on the happy humor of life and love.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Ruler Jupiter changes signs this week and moves from fire into earth. This translates as a time of realignment and adjustment for the Archer. Take a look at things from an oblique angle or higher perspective. What was hidden from sight can now be seen clearly if you slow down and adjust the lens. Self-discipline and self-examination are allies. Indulge.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Good news filters through the cosmos as you hear that gift-giving Jupiter is moving into fellow earth-sign Taurus. Collect your coins and gather your resources. The upcoming year is one of great creative and artistic potential, when you will be provided with a myriad of opportunity regarding love and life. Goodness is your key to success. Good luck.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
An expansion of home and family is on the books over the next 12 months, so get ready to go and grow! Whether its a real estate sale, a more beneficial living environment or the birth of a baby, chances are youre in for a bigger plate and better place to live. Travel to explore options, research locations and expand horizons. Keep the faith.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
Prepare yourself for a year of increasing curiosity and mental stimulation as Jupiter moves into your solar 3rd house of learning and education. You may find yourself researching spiritually enriching practices and programs of enlightenment. In all cases, the experience, strength and hope of mystics and the wisdom of saints uplift you.

Visible Planets: Morning: Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter Evening: Saturn
Ecliptic Awakening, Experience and CatharsisIm a big fan of eclipse windows the days and weeks leading into, during and following the exact celestial alignment of the Sun and Moon at the time of solar and lunar eclipses. Ive had some of my most devastating and ecstatic moments during these days and weeks. Ive also watched the world experience and move through powerful events the death of Princess Diana and Mother Teresa in the same week, G.H.W. Bushs 1991 invasion of Iraq and the dramatic passing of pop icon Michael Jackson that constellate the energies and emotions of the collective psyche and, ultimately, mandate transformation. The imperative process of awakening, experience and metamorphosis is cathartic. We face issues we might otherwise ignore, are forced to examine situations and conditions of people and places near and far, ingest data, witness reactions and shape-shift through the individual and collective deepening of our understanding and compassion for life here on planet Earth.
On June 1st @ 1:03 pm MDT, the Sun and Moon align to form the conjunction aspect of a partial solar eclipse. Taking place at 1102 Gemini the multi-faceted, multi-talented sign of magic and medicine, travel, information, commerce and communication look for signs and omens, listen to messages and read the proverbial handwriting on the wall whenever and wherever you are looking, perceiving, discussing, hearing, seeing, dreaming and most of all thinking and talking. Gemini is all about the mental process - thoughts and ideas, concepts and considerations, evaluation, discernment and judgment.
Education, learning and enlightenment are Gemini functions, fueled by a characteristically restless curiosity that refuses to stand still or be left too long alone and in the dark. The mutable motion and movement of this windy air sign propels us forward, back and forth, around and about until we are filled with information, immersed in imagery and taken from here to there by transport of book, story, boat, plane, train, bicycle, automobile or magic carpet. This is an incredibly powerful time to keep your mind open and focus on the daunting power of the word, in all its manifestations. Pay attention to what comes your way, relax in the acquisition of knowledge and let the informational process do its thing.
Good luck and may the winds of Gemini blow through those open eclipse windows and enlighten thinking, inspire revelation and deliver the evolutionary ideas that transform our individual and collective paradigms and intentions for the good of all concerned. Here's to new perceptual beginnings and fresh starts. Happy Solar Eclipse!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
As giant Jupiter nears its exit from your sign, a Gemini solar eclipse awakens new channels of perception and mental process. You see the glimmering, golden path of goodness and grace sparkling in the almost summer sun. You also see the dark, rocky, dangerous road of deceit, dishonesty and dishonor. Its obvious which one to take. Happy trails!
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
With Mercury, Venus and Mars still together in Taurus, you may be feeling upbeat, intelligent and beautiful. No doubt, youre looking good, thinking fast and making progress. Now its time to get even more committed and centered when it comes recognizing the power of your personal part. Karma is real and life is an equation. Live accordingly.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
The June 1st solar eclipse takes place @ 11 Gemini, opening doors of personal import and meaning. This is an awesome opportunity to wipe metaphorical, metaphysical slates clean and start anew. Recognize the power of now and embrace every moment and second in the present as a precious gift and tool. Awaken to the unlimited potential of awareness.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Eclipse windows are powerful times of awakening and illumination for Moonchildren, and this week, the window opens on soul and spirit. Take a good, deep look at whats going on inside you. How do you feel? What are you doing? Feeling and doing are bonded together forever and always, check it out. Find quiet spaces and places to just be. Listen to your heart.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
You may be feeling a little left out of the general hubbub this week, and experiencing drama withdrawals, but, after all, isnt it nice to be calm and quiet for a change? Take a long, deep breath and look around. A major new beginning regarding friends, hopes and dreams is in the works. Choose wisely when it comes to influences and associates. Osmosis is real.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
The years first solar eclipse takes place in your solar 10th house of achievement and recognition. Are you living and working toward goals and objectives that youve chosen or those chosen by someone or something else? Power struggles and authority issues must be addressed. Its time to carve out a new path of progress. To thine own self be true.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
This weeks Gemini solar eclipse trines Saturn in Libra, encouraging a more enlightened perception of reality, factored with principles of quantum physics, chaos theory and natural law. This is a process of expansion and contraction, when you must take total responsibility for yourself and your part, then let the universe take care of the rest.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
You may discover that you no longer want to be the fall guy for someone else, the hidden factor in the equation or the secret lover in a relationship. Communication is the key to illumination this week, but first make certain you have clarity of mind and heart. Spend time alone and determine whats fueling your feelings, then prepare to express them.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
One-to-one relating, important others and commitments in general are themes for this week and zodiac month. Eclipse energy breathes fresh air into your heart and head, feel the breeze and let the wind blow. Its time to identify what no longer works, step out of old behaviors, erase the tapes, banish fear and embrace faith. Trust the universe and go forth.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
A powerful eclipse in your solar 6th house of work, service and health favors positive, productive jump-starts when it comes programs of self-improvement. Its all about commitment and practice regarding daily routines and schedules. See the value of self-discipline and utilize your natural ambition to strengthen your focus and maintain momentum.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Dont be surprised if you find yourself yearning for love or in some rather romantically fueled fantasy this week. All matters of the heart are front and center as the Gemini New Moon/solar eclipse ignites passion and awakens you to the powerful force of the creative spirit. Embrace the beauty and goodness of life on planet Earth. Have fun and enjoy the joy.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
This years first eclipse is bound to feel personal and emotional for the Fish. Taking place in your solar 4th house of home and family, you may find yourself feeling the poignant pull of the past, examining your childhood and making connections as to its impact and importance in your life today. Its time to start fresh here. Accept responsibility and go.

Visible Planets: Morning: Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter Evening: Saturn
Battle Zones, Gangs, Practical Needs and Personal ResponsibilitiesI dont know about you, but I feel like Ive been traveling through a metaphysical battle zone lately. I feel grateful and blessed I have a home that is not in foreclosure. I dont live in a flood zone, on a fault line or in a location subject to tornadoes, tsunamis or hurricanes. I dont live close to a nuclear power plant. Im able to somehow manage to pay our monthly bills, buy good, nutritious food and prepare it in the style of the slow food movement. Were in the process of building a greenhouse to extend our painfully short high-altitude growing season and Im currently nurturing tomato and basil starts for my luscious, delicious culinary future. I do work that I love, maintain a daily spiritual practice, Im healthy and happy and living each and every moment of my precious life. Bottom line: My life is good, and yet, inside and outside, the battles rage.
Recently Ive sited and commented on a pack of planets grouped together like a gang of thugs in action-packed, hungry-for-excitement, addicted-to-adrenaline Aries. Ive witnessed the highly skilled Navy Seals take out badman bin Laden while a variety of other Mars-fueled incidents and circumstances cavorted and cajoled. Martial artists and emotional extortionists rocked and rolled. Personal and social relationships were challenging. Family matters demanded attention and time. Everyone seemed to be burning the Aries fire of me, myself and I.
Today, thanks to the movement of Mercury, Mars and Venus into calm and placid Taurus where they have joined the ever-burning, primal Sun the sharp points and ragged edges of our metaphorical wars are becoming less personal, hurting less and decreasing in intensity. What remains, however, are the hard, cold facts. The finite reality of where we are, what were doing, how were feeling and what we need to do to feel better. Taurus favors the practical, responsible, realistic approach to life. Its all about sustenance and self-care, security and down-to-earth common sense and sensibility. Its time to take care of our own back yards and let our neighbors take care of theirs. And since the Sun moves into fickle, multi-dimensional Gemini this week, lets make hay while we the sun shines if it ever comes back out! Till that soil, sprout those seeds, prune that bush and transplant those plants.
Heres to necessity, responsibility and practicality. One day at a time, do what you need to do, rest and relax when you can, cultivate inner peace, touch the Mother Earth, count your lucky stars and accept what comes. It's all about action and consequence. After all, life is an equation. Good luck!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
Excitable self-obsession leads to the practical application of facts and figures to the situation and conditions in which you find yourself today. The radical influence of revolutionary Uranus in your sign is just beginning. The function is to leave dysfunctional and self-defeating behaviors behind, break new ground and move forward. Go forth!
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
Mercury, Venus and Mars now in Taurus awakens self-awareness, enhances personal beauty, fuels self-motivation and increases self-confidence. Others find your inner calm and steady pace both admirable and effective, something worthy of recognition and emulation. Maintain daily routines of self-improvement and lead by example.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
As the Gemini birthday month begins, take time to reflect upon your age, place and position in life. Are you happy and healthy, doing well and living right? Planetary positions indicate a year of radical change regarding hopes, dreams and plans for the future. You may discover that what once inspired you, no longer does so. Consider what does now.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
As the Sun moves from Taurus to Gemini, you may find yourself moving from a fast-paced action-oriented busy-ness to a more relaxed, laid-back and contemplative approach to life and all its trappings. This is an important time of regeneration and gestation, when you are well advised to take it easy and focus on spiritual health rather than material wealth.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
The Gemini zodiac month is one of uplifting, airy inspiration and mentally stimulating experience for the Lion. Seek out friends and make contact with people you respect, admire and would like to be like. We are constantly involved in a powerful process of osmosis; sharing, evolving and becoming. Pick and choose, evaluate and decide as you journey forth.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
A sign of motion and movement, medicine and magic, mutable Gemini blows the winds of change into your heart and head. Take a good look at your life path and determine whether or not youre heading in the right direction. Stability, reality and practicality are allies now. If youve gotten off-track, get back on. Focus on self-discipline and stick to the program!
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
As one-to-one relationships continue to shock and awaken you to a new way of viewing yourself and your self-identity, remain open and willing to accept change. Cultivate the wisdom of uncertainty and recognize the ever-present now as the only actual field of operation available to anyone. Balance accounts, pay bills and be practical with money. Indulge in spirit.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
As you continue through the second half of your solar year, embrace the deep feelings and emotions generated from thoughts and experiences. Perception is the name of the game today. Recognize the power of attention and see that whatever you focus on grows and blossoms. What you ignore withers and dies. Use this tool in a daily practice of becoming.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Solar rays illuminate personal, one-to-one relating in all its grit and glory. Other people, places and things have a tendency to take priority and influence your daily round now and for the next several weeks. Do your best to be and act the way you want others to be and behave. Otherwise, your words fall on deaf ears and hypocrisy reigns. Lead by example.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Several planets in fellow earth-sign Taurus center and ground you when it comes to the personal and private realms of your life and relationships. Take it slow and easy here, cultivate patience and maintain perseverance. In the outside world, winds blow in the direction of self-improvement. Establish daily exercise routines, both physical and spiritual. Work out!
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Air Gemini is like Nike Air you can jump higher and run faster so enjoy the ride but keep your eyes on the road! Hearts flutter like butterflies in a floral garden of color and light. With so much apparent delight, intoxication may be an issue. Stay focused, make lists and do what you have to do before you play. Sobriety is an ally now, embrace it.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
Home, family and domestic life in general takes center stage as the Sun moves in to your solar 4th house of personal life foundations. Environmental beauty nurtures a sense of emotional security and feeds the soul. Touch the earth and feel the nurturing power of Mother Nature. Remain as calm and centered as possible, life happens one day at a time.

May 12 to 19, 2011
Visible Planets: Morning: Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter Evening: Saturn
Aries Courage & Will + Taurus Earth Beauty & BountyThe recent alignment of personal planets Mercury (mind), Venus (love & money), Mars (motive and ego) with generous Jupiter (beliefs and spirit) and revolutionary Uranus (freedom and liberation) in primal Aries (attention ME!) has given us all a series of lightening-bolt jolts and radical new awakenings via our personal and collective relationships and experiences. And yet, it all comes down and back to guess who? Me, myself and I. No matter what we do or where we go, we are the center of our own personal universe, viewing life from our own perspective, filtering events through our own optical lens and physical, emotional senses. People and planets rotate around us, throwing rocks or tossing treats our way, appearing and disappearing like ships in a proverbial storm. Sometimes, we can see them coming a long way off. Others times, they pop up suddenly, out of the blue. Amidst the chaos, drama, beauty, grace, trauma, joy and mystery of life, we are and will always be our own unique and individual selves, captive souls in physical bodies, ethereal spirits in material realities, living and breathing in the here and now.
A cluster of planets traveling in close proximity to each other through the tropical zodiac tends to constellate energies that feel out-of-balance, overwhelming and intense. Our lives seem to have some sort of recurring focus - an issue, a person, a situation that simply demands attention and can no longer be ignored. Its somewhat like a firing squad showering us with cosmic bullets from the make and model and of the tropical sign through which the planets travel. And recently, Aries, the first sign of the tropical zodiac and natural year, happens to be that sign.
Ruled by Mars - the ancient god of war - Aries calls us to battle, asks us to fight for our rights and do whatever it takes to fulfill our desires. Its the energy of pursuit, predator and prey, the king or queen of swords, the courageous warrior and the primal will to survive. Five of ten planets in this sign provide a huge tailwind for breaking free from the past and discovering new ways to solve old problems. Aries is fire, cardinal and masculine; it needs to move forward, to continually break new ground. Behaviors or practices that were formerly tolerable are now totally unacceptable. Big breakthroughs are possible, as well as big breakdowns. There is only one way out, and that is forward, not back.
Sound radical and revolutionary? Wild and raucous? Imperative and impatient? Its simply time to wake up and get going, stop waiting for something or someone to change, take personal initiative and go forth. And this week, with Mercury, Venus and Mars all moving in to neighboring Taurus, the flavor of the angst will mollify, impulse and anger will calm, intensity lessen and reaction decrease. The upcoming Taurus/Scorpio Full Moon on May 17th illuminates value and stability, patience and reality, personal responsibility and material security.
Good luck and may the courage of the warrior and the bounty, beauty and fertility of the Mother Earth be with you.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
Mercury, Venus and Mars (mind, love and motive) the planets of personal impact and import move from Aries into Taurus this week, shifting gears, calming hearts and changing perspectives. Take a deep breath and center yourself in the here and now. A practical, realistic approach works best. Manage time and money with caution and care.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
Happy birthdays continue as several personal planets move from Aries to Taurus and you are somehow the center of attention and the life of the party. You may not have consciously signed up for what you get this week, but forces beyond your control have placed you there. Accept the gift of life in all its mysterious grandeur and experience grace.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Aries is the pioneer and Taurus is the settler. As planetary impetus shifts this week from initiative to substantive, take time to slow down, count your blessings and touch the earth. Guardian angels protect and divine will directs. Surrender to what is; accept what comes as necessary and true to where you are today. Focus on and enjoy lifes simple pleasures.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The Taurus/Scorpio full Moon takes the powerful initiating energy of the May 3rd New Moon and grounds it in the here and now. Inner fires and passionate desires evolve toward the practical and realistic. Take a good look around your heart and home. Touch the earth and turn the soil. Feel the hope and inspiration of Mother Nature. Surround yourself with good.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
You may feel a shifting shape of energy and will as several personal planets change signs and the Moon grows full. Suddenly you feel the pressure of setting goals and making decisions. What you once found exciting and desirous may have lost its luster or appears too difficult to achieve. Take your time, relax and take it easy. The solutions will come.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
The recent Taurus New Moon highlighted outdated attitudes and dysfunctional behaviors toward money and material resources. A new global era dictates a more frugal, practical and respectful approach to our physical world. Recycle, recover and refurbish, its time to use and take care of what you already have. Kiss the Mother Earth and follow your heart.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
The rather stressful balancing act youve been a party to over the last several weeks has peaked and is now in decline. Many important challenges and lessons have awakened and enlightened you, however, pulling and pushing you into brave new frontiers of soul and spirit. Cultivate inner peace and proceed with calm tranquility. Keep the faith.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
The annual Taurus/Scorpio full Moon marks a fruition and illumination of sorts regarding your most important one-to-one relationships. You can see clearly now just who is who and what is what where others are concerned. Recognize the extreme power of your part in your pairings. Silence is often golden and listening is the magic key to communication.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Self-improvement is the name of the game this week and you will become even more aware of what you need to do to play it well. Rather than beat yourself up over what you havent done, focus on what you are doing now to be happier and healthier. Practice is something we do daily, hourly and by the minute. Remember, its practice and progress, not perfection.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
The white-hot heat of the Aries fires cools a bit this week as the earth-centered energy of Taurus dampens flames and calms inner conflagrations. Anger dissipates and impulsive reactions disappear as you feel more grounded, calm and accepting of what is. Suddenly, you see the natural world as phenomenally beautiful, loving and healing. Embrace it.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
While workloads may suddenly increase and you find yourself challenged to get it all done, recognize the power of now. Relax in your busy-ness and approach it with a one-thing-at-a-time attitude. Make lists, organize spaces and revel in the joys of accomplishment. This is a time for creating structure via goal setting, patience and perseverance. Good luck!
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
Calm, patient communication (listen rather than talk) is the golden key to opening those golden doors of love, peace and happiness. As a spiritual seeker in this lifetime, you are hunting the mysterious and divine. Traveling a road of humility, compassion and personal responsibility takes you to the magical lands of gratitude and grace. Happy trails!

Visible Planets: Morning: Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter Evening: Saturn
Electromagnetic Intensity and Fertility of Cross-Quarter Taurus
It is known that all bodies such as the Sun and its satellites are charged bodies and are surrounded by a magnetic field. In any magnetic body having two poles (the Sun and its satellites are such bodies), the magnetic currents circulate from the north to the south pole, become neutral at each 90 degrees and reach a maximum intensity at each 45 degrees.
T.O. McGrath in his book Timing Business Activity and the Sun One of the years four cross-quarter days days halfway between the solstices and equinoxes takes place this week on May 5th @ 15 Taurus Cinco de Mayo. In the Northern Hemisphere this marks the midpoint of our seasonal spring. In the neo-pagan year it heralds the beginning of summer. The Celtic calendar honors this time with the holiday of Beltane, one of the eight fire festivals of their year. In all cases and calendars, it is a time of fertility, celebration and reverence for the Mother Earth. The sleeping seeds and dormant life of winters slumber, awakened by the primal thrust of early springtime, nurtured by melting snows and sleeting rain, have taken root and are sprouting with renewed vigor and fresh life.
May Day and maypoles, Mothers Day and a plethora of flowers, brunches and cards are what we associate with the first week of May in America today. Garden centers are busy and gardeners are out in their gardens, cleaning, raking, tilling and planting. We touch the soil, breathe the air and feel the energetic magnitude of this powerfully charged point in our seasonal solar year, whether we realize it consciously or not. We are electromagnetic bodies and are subject - as are all electromagnetic bodies to the push and pull of electromagnetism. And the point of maximum electromagnetic intensity in the Earths orbit around the Sun takes place when the Earth is exactly halfway through the zodiac signs of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio, on the four cross-quarter days of the natural year. This is when the Earth and Sun are at the point of 45 maximum intensity in relation to each other and the Earth/Sun is at 15 in the fixed signs of the Tropical Zodiac.
So as we wind our way through this cross-quarter week, let us take note of the ebb and flow, ups and downs, highs and lows of our emotions and feelings. Lets take a good look at our life circumstances, material realities and physical conditions of our immediate environment including our bodies, possessions and living quarters. This is a powerful turning point in our year, when we can actually feel and heal via the curative natural forces of the Mother Earth. Heres to the calm, patient, nurturing power of Taurus the Bull. May we find those greening pastures upon which to grazeand grow.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
The Sun shines light on personal responsibility and all matters of self-control. Two exponentially valuable words today are these: my part. Once you accept responsibility for and understand the importance of the part you play in every single relationship, condition and facet of your life, you stand ready to initiate and impact positive change. Take a look.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
The recent New Moon in your sign initiates a lunar month of great significance in your yearly cycle around the Sun. Body, mind and spirit come together in a dance of heart and soul. Planetary power in your solar 12th house of karmic retribution continues to pull you backwards through the past. Ask your angels for guidance and direction and go forth.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Friends, fellowships, associations and organizations contacts with people you respect and admire - fuel creative fires and spark inspiration. Cancer (June 21-July 22)

As you consider major life change, also consider who and what types of influences most support and encourage the manifestation of your ideals. Listen to intuition and take the high road.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
Mental and spiritual engines combust as five planets in fire ignite and inspire exploration and discovery. Travel, foreign culture, philosophy and religion provide fuel for altruistic, idealistic acts. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
The earthy fertility of the Taurus lunar cycle promises reward to those who touch the earth, till the soil, plant the seed and commit to nurturing sustenance and growth. Connect to the abundant beauty and resource of the Mother Earth and immerse yourself in her ultimate power. Rest, relaxation and renewal are themes for wellness now. Balance is the key.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
The patient and persevering qualities of transiting Saturn in Libra are currently competing against the quick-to-act, impulsive instincts of several planets in Mars-ruled Aries. In the process, you may feel the push and pull of anger and impatience as it interfaces with the more realistic, practical nature of what is. Acceptance is the answer and inner peace the key.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
As the Sun and Moon conjoin in earthy, sensual Taurus and the lunar month begins, take note of the people and places to which you are committed. Recognizing your part in your relationships and accepting responsibility for it are keys to self-empowerment, happiness and freedom. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Sparks fly and fires ignite as self-fueled agendas snap, crackle and pop. As a lover of life and an advocate for justice, you may find yourself caught up in heart-centered behaviors and causes. Simply do your best to find the truth and support progress in the awakening of the world. A lunar month of self-improvement has begun. Be good, stay in the light.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Ego displays, anger and/or motivation come by way of the personal and familiar. Family, home and immediate environment factor highly in your daily equation of activity, concern and welfare. Do the best you can in all matters of relationship. Focus on the beneficial aspects of your situation; cultivate attitudes of gratitude and work to initiate positive change.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Springtime excites the spirit and stimulates movement in the physical and mental bodies. Thoughts and ideas abound as you find yourself busy and active, pursuing plans and building new actual and metaphorical structures at home and immediate environment. Maintain a sense of calm and practice patience as you move forward, one step and one day at a time.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
Personal responsibility for your choices and actions is huge this week and month as planetary power in your solar 2nd house of physical and material security tends toward the stable, tried and true. Fear-based decisions are not encouraged, but neither are hasty, impulsive ones. Take your time to make up your mind, using heart and soul to guide your path.

April 28 to May 5, 2011
Visible Planets: Morning: Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter Evening: Saturn
A self-fueled, self-consumed Aries rant...
Im going to make this short. After all, with most of the planets in self-fueled Aries, why not be totally selfish and self-indulgent? [Aries]Suddenly I dont have patience for others and Im consumed with all the things I have to do. [Aries] Everything seems to be an interruption to my agenda. [also Aries] On the other end of the proverbial scale [Libra], Im feeling the heavy weight of transiting Saturn in Libra conjunct my Sun and natal Saturn. S.O.B.E.R. - son-of-a-bitch, everythings real. Its a veritable balancing act [Libra] of time [Saturn], energy [Aries], money and resources. [Venus-ruled, and therefore also associated with Libra] And I can also feel the stress of currently transiting Pluto in Capricorn [ruled by Saturn] as it squares the Aries/Libra [self/others] polarity on its journey of expose and expulsion through the mass terrain of global economic realities, government bodies and ruling hierarchies. [Saturn/Pluto/Capricorn] Social, political and economic establishments and traditions [Saturn/Capricorn/Libra] are crumbling [Pluto] under the overwhelming pressure and power of evolutionary change [Pluto] and we feel it personally [Aries] as well as in our relationships [Libra].
And so what do we [I] do? Feel irritable, restless and discontent. A little overwhelmed by all the things I cant control which, lets face it, is just about everything! and I find myself getting angry and wanting to act out. [Aries] Rumblings from deep inside [Pluto] remind me that as much as I might like to think inner peace [Libra] is a choice, I realize for the zillionth time that its a practice. [Saturn] Its time to take care of whats right in front of me, focus on the present and simply do the best I can, one day and one moment at a time.
Hows that for an Aries rant? Onward Cosmic Traveler, forever moving forward
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
With five planets in Aries you are most likely the center of attention and concern. Others talk, love, give, get mad and excited, forgive and encourage you this week. The main thing is to accept total responsibility for the condition of your life and relationships, remain open and willing to change and understand that its time to let go of what no longer works.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
An overload of planets in your solar 12th house of karmic retribution and divine intervention delivers a variety of events and experiences that require compassion, good judgment and self-honesty. This is a time when you will work with plenty of past and present life karma. Check your motives and recognize the power of your words and actions.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Gathering together for the greater good is what its all about this week. You are being called upon to be a friend, activist and spiritual warrior in the collective effort of creative change. As we usher in a new global era and time of radical personal awakening, follow your heart. The road of right action is paved with honesty, integrity and humility. Stay on the path.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The chaotic and out-of-whack world at large and whos in charge governments, politics and religion is running fast and furious toward disaster. As economies shift and the new global era begins, look for ways in which you can initiate creative career change. Others look to you for leadership and example. Embrace the challenge and reinvent the duty.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
While others may be down and out, disturbed and dysfunctional, somehow youre able to stay up and enthusiastic about life today on planet Earth. A cheerleader at heart and one who rallies for those you love, the time has come for strength, courage and fortitude. You are being called upon to be the light in the storm. Shine on.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
You may find yourself being asked to balance the budget, pay debts or extend credit as a pack of planets in your solar 8th house of joint finance stirs the money pot and puts deals on the table. Rather than get sideways, upset or play the blame game, identify your part and do what you can to make it better. In the meantime, prune the bush, water the garden and do the work.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Realistic Saturn in your sign and a wild bunch of planets in opposite sign Aries constellates an extremely important time of balance and reckoning regarding yourself and others. Clarity, sobriety and integrity are allies as you establish practical personal boundaries, cultivate self-discipline and maintain inner calm. Identify your part and keep the faith.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Signs and omens for getting on and staying on the path of self-improvement continue to guide and direct those willing to read the handwriting on the proverbial wall. This is a time of magnificent opportunity for creative, positive personal change. Health is truly wealth and pursuing it leads to great good fortune. Follow the golden road.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Hearts beat and spirits soar as you embrace the primal beauty and emerging new life of spring. The natural world and Mother Earth are companions on your journey through time and space, embrace their bounty. Creative juices are flowing and your rather excitable soul craves adventure. Explore your day, every day and discover the joy within.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Challenge and change are themes as planetary power pushes and pulls you to places and spaces you normally dont go. Home, family and childhood behavior patterns weave the fabric of your experience, awareness and perceptions. Stay open and willing to try new techniques; explore, expose, feel and heal. Career restructure continues. Do the work.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
With the snap, crackle, pop dynamic of planets in your solar 3rd house of the mind and mentality, thoughts and ideas abound. Communication is a theme and making and maintaining contact with others awakens your spirit and fuels your soul. Talk and think, ask and question. Find out whats happening so you can keep the ball rolling. Go with the mo!
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
The personal changes and awakenings you experienced over the last seven years while Uranus moved through Pisces are now helping you focus on self-care rather than caring for others. Truth and honesty are allies as you accept everything exactly as it is and see the difference between what you can change and what you cannot. Focus on your part.

April 21 to 28, 2011
Visible Planets: Morning: Venus Evening: Saturn
Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers...Families are funny things, and we all have them. And mothers. Even abandoned children have mothers - somewhere, somehow on the planet, dead or alive a woman carried a child in her womb and gave birth to new life. Just like the Mother Earth - from life to life, from dust to dust
Springtime is the preeminent time of birth in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Christian holiday of Easter has been branded as the time of resurrection. Its no mistake that Easter and springtime coincide. The pagan rites of spring were supplanted by the Catholics holy rituals of their saviors crucifixion, entombment and miraculous return. For me, spring and Easter evoke memories of childhood, my Mother and my family. I am filled with the poignant emotions of joy and sorrow, hope and wonder in the recurring seasons, the eternal cycles of birth and death. The gentle wind, the greening grass and the ever-present natural phenomena of change stir something deep within - the questions and the quest - combined with a sense of acceptance, humility and grace.
My older brother, Jeff, celebrates his 60th birthday on Holy Saturday, April 23rd. So many years have passed since we were children, standing together, all dressed up for photographs in the wild Denver wind, Easter baskets in hand and smiles on our faces. From little league football to high school halfback to Winston man to proud father and now grandfather, I have watched him walk his talk and live his life with integrity, truth and honor. Hes a Taurus, and that means down-to-earth practical wisdom and calm, steadfast effort and the one-day-at-a-time approach that leads to life-long achievements and well-earned success. Happy birthday, brother!
And then, my Mother, who passed from this world to the next on Easter Sunday 2003. I wrote a tribute and memoir of her last year in this column. Today, as time passes, I see her more realistically and less idealistically than in my youth. The trials and tribulations, the guidance and assistance, her frailties and vulnerabilities, her courage, strength and sacrifice - her humanness the magical web of mother, daughter, friend and lover - sometimes enabling and sometimes not. Doing the best she knew how. Here, there and now, gone, crossed over, to the other side, the forever after.
Im feeling a little sad today. The hopes and dreams, the wishes and fantasies, the realities and sorrowswe live and breathe, laugh and cry. Our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers here today and gone tomorrow. Comrades and friends, ups and downs, lessons and learning, failure and success. Teachers, students, saints and sinners. May we touch the Earth with our love and walk the road of Life with compassion and forgiveness, doing unto others as we would have them to do unto us. God bless
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
Love planet Venus enters your sign this week and will remain there for several. This heralds a time of potential healing and self-care, when relationships soften and you are able to forgive yourself and others for any harm or pain caused or experienced. Theres a lot going on inside you these days, cultivate peace within and without. Do the next right thing.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
Your Happy Birthday month begins as the Sun enters your sign April 20th. Light the candles and cut the cake, but dont be surprised if you want a quiet gathering instead of a big event. Several planets in your solar 12th house of behind-the-scene activities favors private, intimate get-togethers, with people you love. Take time to relax and regenerate.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Earth Day and Good Friday join force with Uranus and Venus this year, making sure that its a day we will not forget. As both messenger and magician of the zodiac, keep antennas tuned and wands at hand. Information, awakening and enlightenment regarding truth, love and money are blasting through the cosmos. Write it down; speak to the world.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Maverick Mercury resumes forward motion this weekend, settling the mud and clearing the water regarding professional questions and direction. A major financial breakthrough opens doors and changes realities. Seek out people you respect, admire and trust when it comes to investment, but be sure to make the ultimate decision with your heart.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
Thoughts turn toward career goals and professional direction as the Sun enters Taurus. A practical, realistic approach works best day-by-day, especially regarding finance and income. Keep your eyes to the skies, however, when it comes to future possibilities. You are part of an expanding universe, with unlimited power and potential. Keep the faith.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
As Mercury goes direct in Aries, you may suddenly see the fog and confusion clear regarding your most committed and intimate relationships. Communicate feelings and discuss options. Also be open to sudden changes and breakthroughs that come via others. Honesty and truth are powerful allies now. Be self-authentic and true-to-heart.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
With so many planets cavorting in your opposite sign, you can no doubt feel the powerful pull of polarities. Things are not always black and white, but often they are. Darkness and light exist as equal parts of the same day. Balance, as always, is the key to your health, happiness and well-being. Do what you can and let the universe take care of the rest.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
As you continue to sort out and define your understanding of spirit, you may discover that the quickest avenue to enlightenment comes through service. Being of assistance to others, working programs of self-improvement and cultivating a daily spiritual practice guarantee both progress and reward. You know what to do. Go forth with joy and love.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Snap, crackle, pop! The world lights up as hearts flame and romance blazes. Keep a handle on over-indulgence, partying too hard or reacting too strongly to someone or something you find attractive. Enjoy the grace by which you are given so much and cultivate calm amidst the wild. You are being asked to walk the path, do no harm and help heal the world.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Challenges abound and excitement reigns amidst these chaotic, changing times. Native American prophecies and Biblical scripture portend cataclysm and apocalypse, Hollywood cashes in. As the practical act of the zodiac, you understand global warming and the equation of cause and effect. Now is the time for Capricorn karma. Live what you know.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Brainstorms, epiphanies and breakthroughs of the most dramatic sort come your way this week as planets pair and play explosive games of war and peace. As a visionary - and honest - utilitarian humanitarian, you may find the scene disturbing, but rise to the occasion against all odds. After all, you never were one for playing it safe! Simply do your best.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
Practical action and realistic thinking go far this week as you work to improve efficiency and enhance productivity. Take it slow, banish multi-tasking and complete one thing at a time. Pay attention to what youre doing in the present, rather than wasting time regretting the past or fantasizing about the future. Count your blessings and be here now.

April 14 to 21, 2011
Visible Planets: Morning: Venus Evening: Saturn
"May God bless and keep you always, may your wishes all come true..." Bob Dylan, Forever YoungSpring has sprung and throughout the Northern Hemisphere we see the season emerging in shades of green. Budding trees, flowering bushes and melting snow respond to warmer days and increasing light. Solar rays are more direct. The Earths matrix of rocks, minerals, plants and animals awakens from winters slumber and bursts forth in the evolutionary process of rebirth and renewal. Here in the West End, days of howling wind, spitting snow, slanting rain and embracing sun remind me that nothing is permanent, everything changes. Forever and always, countless revolutions around the Sun, returning seasons and revolving cycles forever young - life on Earth as we see it, as we know it. Right here, right now, today...
This week, on April 17th @ 8:44 pm MDT, the Sun and Moon form the exact opposition aspect of a full "super" Moon in the late degrees of Aries/Libra. Three days later, the Sun moves into Taurus. The bridging time between Aries and Taurus is one that takes us from the primal fire of instinct and survival to the earth-centered land of primal nourishment and sustenance. The seed thrust forth in the fiery passion of Aries creation seeks fertile Taurus soil in which to take root, be nurtured and grow. Inherent in every seed is the map, the plan, the DNA of its potential. But without food, shelter and a safe place to develop and eventually blossom, the seed will never bear fruit. Nature must be nurtured. This is where the brave and courageous energy of the Ram becomes vulnerable. It is here the wild, untamed spirit and fiercely independent nature of our zodiacs first sign is cautioned to take pause, slow down and find safe haven. Life depends upon life support. Without the nutrients, comforts and physical conditions that provide refuge,
protection and safety to the individual life, even the most vibrant and vital will wither and die. So, as we travel the road from Aries to Taurus, lets consider the nature of our journey. Just as we were called upon in Aries to embrace the warrior spirit and go forth with strength and courage, now we are asked to intuit and sense, touch and feel. Its time to be less impulsive and more practical, less idealistic and more realistic. Its time find our happy, healthy place in the sun.
Good luck and may we find the shelter in the storm, the food on the table and the ways and means to provide for ourselves and our loved ones with balance, peace, honor and grace. Heres to the illuminating light of the Aries/Libra "super" full Moon. May God bless and keep you always...
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
The full Moon in Aries/Libra on Apr. 17th illuminates issues of war and peace in relationships. Ancient deities Mars and Venus rule this lunation and remind the Ram that balance is essential for success, health and well-being now and forever. Heavyweight Saturn also sends a powerful message of restraint regarding impulsive behaviors. Curb the bit.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
The last full week of Mercury retrograde allows for a slower pace and a more reflective mindset regarding personal devils and demons. Understanding how you may be creating your own suffering is key to the awakening that ultimately leads to an enlightened life of self-responsibility, happiness and self-care. Cultivate inner peace.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Reflections upon life and love continue, as the Moon grows full. You may experience great longing for what has gone before and want to recapture or rekindle a lost romance or neglected friendship. Feel your feelings and follow your heart. Put your best foot forward and let the cards fall where they may. Today is now and things change. Let go and accept what comes.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
A full Moon in Aries/Libra combines with a Mars/Saturn opposition, dealing you a dynamic celestial hand. Themes of self-responsibility, healthy boundaries and family restructure continue as you balance professional demands with personal desires. Remain open to unexpected career change as a door to a revolutionary, inspirational new life.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
Full Moons are forever and always about relationships, and this one is all about the masculine and feminine aspects of those sharings and pairings. Are you balancing male and female, yin and yang, animus and anima or feeling wildly out-of-synch? Daily rituals, spiritual teachings and the discipline of an open mind and willing heart go far. Miracles happen!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
You may feel like you are being asked or forced to take responsibility for life circumstances and relationships as personal obligations push you to places and spaces that require attention. Take action when and where necessary and simply do the next right thing, one-step and one day at a time. All is exactly as it should be at this moment. Acceptance is the answer.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Lets face it; these are difficult and trying times. Personal, social and global - the world is at war, in upheaval and crisis. How to find peace and serenity when chaos reigns and corruption runs rampant? The cosmos is calling upon the calm and capable, the compassionate and kind in this era of awakening. Its all about spiritual living and doing. Be the change.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
You may feel the world shift on its axis and see sunlight change in value and hue. Whatever the personal translation, youre correct to intuit massive metaphysical transformation and restructure. Catharsis is the name of the game in which you are playing a starring role. Hang on to the wisdom of uncertainty and stay in shape via a daily spiritual practice.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
While springtime is traditionally a season of great fun and laughter, creativity and romance for the Archer, this week you may be feeling less loving and more on edge than usual. The solution is one of balance. Self-importance is a wild and risky ride right now. Play with people you respect and admire, see goodness and experience the miracle osmosis.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Moving in dynamic circles and working toward conscious goals are the means to achieve what you now define as genuine success. No longer confined or restricted by tradition and convention, you have embraced the power of personal truth and run with it. As family and parental roles change and revitalize, focus on daily spiritual practice and progress.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Thoughts, ideas, communication and commerce are themes for the week. Brothers, sisters, neighbors and friends pop in and out of your mind and life as full Moon energy brings projects and plans to light. Mercury retrograde favors research, review and revision. Go over contracts and clarify intentions before signing up or signing on. Explore and experience.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
You may feel personally responsible for something or someone this week, wondering what you can do to help or change the person, situation or circumstance. Take a good look and clarify whether or not you are acting in an appropriate and effective manner. Focus on personal change rather than attempting to change others. Simply lead by example and give it love.

April 7 to 15, 2011
Visible Planets: Morning: Venus Evening: Saturn
The Primal Power of Aries: The Season of the Emerging Self
Springtime off-season has officially arrived in Telluride. The ski mountain has closed and blustery days of howling wind, spitting snow and sleeting rain now fall upon mostly empty streets. The local exodus to Mexican beaches and tropical islands is in full force. To the west, greening pastures embrace newborn calves and baby lambs; the mountains rise above in shades of snowy-white and deep, dark-blue. To the east, over the Dallas Divide in Ouray, daffodils, tulips and hyacinths greet visitors coming and going to the towns Hot Springs Pool. The primal thrust of new life and rebirth is in the air; the warming earth, the melting snow and the restless weather herald the season of resurrection and renewal.
The first week of the Aries lunar cycle delivers plenty of power in its punch, but due to the retrograde motion of mental messenger Mercury also in Aries - the energy is somewhat redolent, and at times, even redundant. We find ourselves reviewing the past against the canvas of what was then and what is today, considering our actions and examining the consequences. And with realistic Saturn now moving through partner-oriented Libra, we seem to be most frequently reflecting upon ourselves in the image-rich mirror of our relationships. This is a poignant and powerful time to review and identify our part in our personal emotional reactions to and interactions with others. Are we feeling resentful, angry or hurt by another? If so, how did we assist in the creation of our own suffering? Are we willing to change our behaviors now for a different result in the future?
Aries is all about self and more specifically, the emerging self. Aries loves action and moving forward. Impatient, independent, impulsive and at times even compulsive, the zodiacs first sign and season vibrates with cardinal fire initiating spirit and manifests as the strong desire, the uncontrollable urge or the passionate act that propels us ever onward. The trick is in catching ourselves before or if we are operating in out-of-control, self-fueled illusion or self-importance, self-obsessed self-pity or self-denial. Aries loves a risky ride but we dont want to get caught up in the crash and chaos of reckless abandon or throw caution to the wind especially this week. Both motivated, macho Mars and wild, electric Uranus are closely aligned now and moving through the early degrees of Aries, squaring subterranean Pluto in governmental, authoritarian Capricorn. What we say can and will be held against us, what we do lets put it like this will have powerful effects on our immediate environment, life, relationships and world at large. Now and forever after.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
Self-awakening is the function of Uranus in Aries, but its radical upsets and electric shocks can feel like riding an out-of-control, wild roller coaster. The opportunity here is in self-discovery, self-authenticity, rigorous honesty and spiritual truth. What no longer works is being taken away for good reason, for the good of all concerned. Let go and let God.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
With so much planetary activity in your solar 12th house of present and past life karma, you may feel as if the world has shifted on its axis just for or because of you. Of course you understand you arent that powerful, quite the opposite, but sometimes its difficult to separate cause from effect. Recognize the pervasive presence of spirit and embrace its grace.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Your solar 11th house of camaraderie and friendship lights up this week as planets encourage you to take action regarding the creation of a positive support network for yourself and others. Sharing experience, strength and hope is what its all about these days. Connecting with those whove been is essential to effectiveness and success. Seek and find.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You may experience unavoidable conflicts and obstacles as you travel the road of lifes journey this week. Your social, professional status and career is changing radically now and its best to accept it rather than resist. This is somewhat like a cosmic intervention that is ultimately a miracle, but at first feels like a disaster. Relax and do your best.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)

Understanding your part and cultivating compassion for others are keys to these times. Be strong.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Mars and Uranus are infamous planetary mavericks, noted for excitement, upset and shock. As agents of sudden, radical change, they are working together in self-centered Aries, encouraging the world to wake up individually and fight for whats right. For the Scorpion, this translates as a time of passionate self-improvement. Be strong and be brave.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Inner and outer fires rage as planets spark excitement, passion and desire throughout the cosmos. Heartfelt feelings and deep emotional longing may compel action and carry you to places and spaces of romance and/or intense creative expression. Rather than attempt to control outcomes, simply harness the power and go with the flow. Do the next right thing.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
As you walk the first miles and months of an extended journey on the yellow brick road of metamorphic experience and transformation, refrain from egocentric anger, blame and shame. You are being presented with daunting options and opportunities, all to teach you your ultimate life lesson: the correct use of will and power. Stay awake and be present.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Mental images and internal dialogues may run rampant as Mars, Uranus and Jupiter ignite your imagination and fuel ideas. Witness the words and recognize tendencies for circular thinking and repetition. Mercury retrograde favors review and research, reconsideration and revision. If you feel redundant, identify what needs to change and begin preparation.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
Voluptuous Venus in your sign encourages the practice of self-care and relaxation, beautification of yourself and immediate environment, along with the simple, miraculous gift of sleep. The radical influence of Mars, Uranus and Jupiter in your solar 2nd house of personal security may have shown up as a monetary crisis of sorts. Take a deep breath, breathe easy and rest.

Visible Planets: Morning: Venus Evening: Saturn
From the alpha of Aries to the omega of Pisces, we spiral through space, passing through ever-new quadrants of the Universe. Each New Moon offers a special download of celestial information, illuminating new doorways and dimensions of consciousnessAries is the first sign of the zodiac and the archetype of new frontiers. Stephanie Austin, The Mountain Astrologer, Issue #156
Self-Acceptance, Responsibility and Right Action...
The advent of the annual Aries New Moon takes place on April 3rd at 8:32 am MDT. As the first New Moon of the tropical year, this celestial event heralds the beginning of an eternally recurring physical and spiritual cycle. In the Northern Hemisphere, its a time of awakening and rebirth, when plants and animals are exposed to increasing light and more direct solar radiation. As days grow longer and the earth warms, we feel the power of Mother Nature and see her magic in the seasons fresh life and emerging shades of green. Buds pop out and the first flowers of spring appear. Baby lambs and calves dot lowland pastures while snow melts up in the high mountain peaks and meadows.
This is the seeding time of a fresh new year, a time when we are naturally called upon to renew our hopes and dreams, recharge our batteries and refresh ourselves - body, mind and spirit. This is a time for entrainment - a time to harmonize with nature, get in synch with the universe and align ourselves with the cosmic flow. Its a time to feel our feelings, tap into our hearts, accept everything exactly as it is right now and recognize that our futures are created in the ever-present present. Its the natural, evolutionary process of cause and effect gurus call it karma and scientists call it physics that factors out like a simple mathematical equation. What we do today is the metaphysically created stuff that manifests tomorrow. How we behave, how and when we act, what we say but most importantly our actions dictate and direct the quality and quantity of our happiness, health and wealth. Character is destiny and our life depends on it.
So, as the Sun and Moon come together in primal Aries this week, remember that its all about self-directed action. Good or bad, right or wrong? Its a personal choice. And since Aries is totally, always all about ME, take good care of you! Get it? Take good care of yourself and simply do the next right thing. Accept yourself exactly as you are today. Start fresh, being again, embark upon a new frontier. Accept responsibility for the condition of your life and your relationships as they are now and do what you can to make life better, not worse. We cannot change the past, but we can act consciously now, in the present, at this moment. Good luck and may the strength and courage of the bodhisattva warrior spirit be with you now and for ever after!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
Fires flicker and flame as several planets in hotshot Aries including ruler Mars ignite passion, incite action and excite desire. The personal mission and prescription, however, lies in focused attention on inner peace, balanced behavior and calm, productive progress. You are being called upon to radically change what no longer works. Take your time!
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
Motivated Mars joins force with revolutionary Uranus and several other planets in your solar 12th house of physical dissolution and spiritual ascension this week. The trick is in recognizing the inherent oneness of life and all creation. Body, mind and spirit; word and deed - be kind, gentle and compassionate with yourself and others. Above all, do no harm.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
From primal Aries to transcendental Pisces, the natural solar year is being reborn. Grasp the meaning behind the madness and proceed with calm caution and balanced behavior. Great progress is promised to those who maintain daily discipline and focus regarding the creative process. If youre feeling romantically deprived, fall in love with your heart.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
A fresh new Moon and lunar cycle awards Moonchildren with multi-faceted opportunities regarding achievement and career. A retrograde Mercury favors a few weeks of research and review here, however, so take it slow and easy. Feel your feelings and follow your heart as you journey through professional possibilities and potential. Explore the options.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
The holy fire of spirit illuminates new dimensions of consciousness as planetary power in your solar 9th house of the higher self ignites new perceptions and awareness of the phenomenal, cosmic world. The ever-expanding Universe invites you on a mind-altering journey of unlimited power and potential. Pay attention to the omens and follow the signs.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
An overload of cardinal fire, fanned by cardinal air, may have you wondering just how long these apparently out-of-control burnings will last. Dampen the flames with the watery wealth of Piscean compassion and loving-kindness. Accept the mystery of life and death, in all its light and darkness, as you travel the road of self-care and self-betterment.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Saturn in Libra opposite the Sun, Moon and Jupiter in Aries this week demand restraint and composure in the face of blow-ups and breakdowns. If others act up or act out, remain calm, cool and collected. This is a physical reality check that brings into sharp focus the current level of fairness and honesty in your relationships. Observe and witness.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and the archetype of new frontiers. That said, embrace courage and become willing to travel the uncharted territories of soul and spirit. Its time to do the inner work, discover the divine within and connect with the universal consciousness of the cosmos. In a journey of love, illuminate the path and follow the light.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Springtime is a recurring tonic and elixir for the heart of the Archer. Rebirth and renewal are themes as the Mother Earth awakens to another solar year. This week, new life beginnings align with an Aries New Moon, encouraging the zodiacs preeminent spiritual warrior to face a world of colliding catastrophe and chaos. Carry the torch and lead by example.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
You may find yourself putting out fires or dampening flames of heart and hearth this week as several planets in your solar 4th house of home and family awaken emotions regarding personal security and stability. You may surprise yourself with returning memories and feelings from childhood. Understand, accept and embrace them as gifts. Be here now.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Air and fire harmonize with the Aquarian spirit, but too much heat can make you feel faint. And breathing smoke is never good for the lungs or spirit, so clean the atmosphere with enlightened thinking and follow it up with action. Clean up messes and organize possessions as you sift through the memories and refuse from the past. Prepare to go forward.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
Snap, crackle, pop! The world ignites with chaos and catastrophe as primal Aries lights the illuminating fires of global awakening and change. As a compassionate spirit and warrior of peace on planet Earth, these relatively cataclysmic times disturb serenity and upset stability. Acceptance is the answer and action is the key. Simply do your best.

March 24 to 31, 2011
Visible Planets: Morning: Venus and Saturn Evening: Mercury
When Catastrophes Collide and Chaos Reigns...Okay, I surrender. Wild, electric Uranus has moved from the numinous, mutable waters of Pisces into the primal, cardinal fire of Aries joining magnanimous Jupiter there - and in so doing, ignited the planet. Everywhere I see explosions and conflagrations from highly unseasonable wildfires along the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies to bombs blasting on the far-off shores of Tripoli. Its all about the sudden, violent and unexpected upheavals and disruptions that rock the world and awaken us to new, revolutionary realities. The function is to shock us out of our ruts and propel us in new, exciting, self-authentic, cosmically enlightened directions. But, heaven help us, does it have to be this radical?
On March 11th - the day of the Uranus ingress a 9.0 magnitude megathrust earthquake shook Japan and triggered a devastating tsunami, erasing villages and killing thousands. Days later, damaged nuclear reactors reached the point of meltdown and exploded, sending dangerous radioactive waves into the atmosphere. Now, with the Sun marching through the first week of Aries spring, days increasing in length and solar rays becoming more direct, we are feeling the seductive power and angst of the zodiacs first and most primitive sign. And, I have to admit, Im feeling more than a little crazy. After all, I love a good bonfire, but waking up to three wars, people in peril and a worldwide economic crisis is unsettling, to say the least. When catastrophes collide and chaos reigns, whats a girl to do?
Answer: Stay centered in the calm, cool air of Saturn in Libra and the grounded practicality and resourcefulness of Pluto in Capricorn. Focus on the courageous possibilities of Jupiter in Aries by cultivating the heart of a warrior via faith in basic goodness and right action. Simply be and do the best I can, accept responsibility for myself and my relationships and practice the art of creative change. And, for a helpful, uplifting astrological slant on these wild and crazy times, I checked out my friend and colleague Dana Gerhardts amazing website @ www.mooncircles.com. You should, too!
Good luck, God bless and may we unite in Uranian honesty, integrity and light - for the good of all concerned -in these very trying and turbulent times. Onward, Cosmic Travelers!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
A dreamy Venus/Neptune conjunction in late Aquarius encourages idealistic hopes and dreams. Recognize the power of your higher self and its visionary abilities. What is it that you truly wish for? What types of people do you admire and want to be like? Surround yourself with the influences that lead you there. In the meantime, do the work.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
Spring is a time of new beginnings. As the Mother Earth reawakens and you witness the energies of rebirth and renewal, take some time out for quiet reflection and self-searching. Aries heralds a zodiac month of personal gestation for the Bull, when solitude and self-nurturing feed both body and soul. Entrain with the season; replenish and renew.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
A 24-day period of Mercury retrograde begins on Mar. 30 in impulsive, self-fueled Aries. Utilize this week for putting things in place and starting projects youd like to work on over the next few weeks. And because were talking about the energy of self, why not focus on those things that are personally near and dear to your heart? To thine own self be true!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
As days lengthen and solar rays become more direct, infuse yourself with the power of the sun and earth. Desires to explore new options professionally and expand socially are being reawakened. You may feel stirrings of the soul and want to travel. As you embark upon an extended period of radical world change, practice self-care and cultivate inner peace.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
Melting snow and greening grass awakens the Lions higher self and encourages the best within. Positive thinking, gratitude and optimism get you miles further than the alternatives. Even when it comes to others suffering whether via natural disasters or self-fueled dysfunction focus on solutions rather than problems. Smile and explore!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
Springtime awakens the mating instinct and feeds the Virgins inherent desire for intimacy and deep sharing. Rather than waste your time thinking about what you dont have or whats missing from currently established relationships, focus on action for the better. Show up and be present for others, initiate closeness and simply do the best you can now.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
With Saturn in Libra and several planets transiting Aries, you may feel pushed and pulled by others needs, demands and actions. While this year is one of personal reckoning and restructure - less social and more internal - it is also one in which you are recreating and reestablishing who you are in your relationships. Cultivate patience and inner peace.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
A cosmic shift of attention and priority takes place as spring begins. The time has come to take a good, long look at how you feel about your physical, spiritual and mental health. What are you doing to self-nurture and self-cure? Are you practicing patterns that are ultimately self-destructive and abusive or behaving in ways that improve and provide?
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Radical rebirth and revolutionary reawakening come in springtime for the Archer. Entrain with seasonal powers and explore the multi-faceted options and opportunities presented to you via the natural world. Lifes most precious presents and pastimes are free for the taking. Watch the sunset, take a hike, follow the flight of an eagle. Count your blessings!
Capricorn(Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Home life is the best life in spring. Plan a garden or plant a tree. Its all about living in the here and now, awakening to your immediate environment and determining how to improve it. Also take note of personal feelings and emotions, as they are golden keys to action. Get out and breathe fresh air, touch the earth and feed your soul.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
Voluptuous Venus and numinous Neptune come together in the last degrees of Aquarius this week, gifting you with love and hope. This week its all about spirit, compassion and bringing to fruition an extended period of spiritual enlightenment and awakening. You have traveled far over the last several years. Now its time to live your dream. God bless!
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
As signs of spring and new life abound, recognize the power of self-knowledge and personal choice. Where are you going and what do you want? Accepting total responsibility for the condition of your relationships and circumstances is the best thing you can do now. Live each and every moment of your precious life.

Visible Planets: Morning: Venus and Saturn Evening: Mercury and Jupiter
Chaos, Crisis and the Challenge for Creative Change
Spring begins this year on March 20th @ 5:21 pm MDT, when the Earth reaches the zero point of Aries in its orbit around the Sun. Herald March Madness, Vernal Equinox and all manifestations of the natural years Primal Thrust. Good luck and may the courage of Mars and the power of rebirth be with you. On Friday, March 11th @ 2:26 pm JST, a 9.0-magnitude mega thrust earthquake off the coast of Japan shook the Earth with such force that it not only triggered an extremely destructive tsunami, with waves of up to 33 feet, which in some cases traveled up to 6 miles inland, but also shifted the Earths axis by approximately 6 inches. An earthquake of similar magnitude in Chile last year moved the planetary axis by 3 inches. So what effects do these planetary changes have on those of us living on planet Earth?
Diana Roman, a geophysicist with the University of South Florida, said these changes mean the Earth's mass has been redistributed, causing the Earth to spin fasterand making days on Earth slightly shorter. The Japanese earthquake has also caused the Island of Japan to extend about eight feet eastward, and caused the ground to sink slightly more toward the center of the Earth.
"This is like when a figure skater has her arms out, and she's going slowly as she's spinning. If she pulls her arms in, she'll speed up. The Earth has started spinning slightly faster, and that means the length of a day on Earth is about two-millionths of a second shorter," Roman explained.
Scientists from NASA and Canada say this isn't unusual, considering seismic activity over the millennia. "Ten inches sounds like quite a lot when you hold a ruler in front of you. But if you think of it in terms of the earth as a whole, it's absolutely tiny; it's minute. It's going to make minute changes to the length of a day. It could make very, very tiny changes to the tilt of the earth, which affects the seasons, but these effects are so small, it would take very precise satellite navigation to pick it up, and centuries to notice an actual change. Ultimately, if you change the length of day, you can change the length of time a given point on earth receives sunlight and doesn't receive sunlight. But will this affect us in our lifetimes? Absolutely not."
Researchers say that while this minuscule change may be completely undetectable, it still illustrates the punch behind Japan's massive earthquake and the on-going, natural, evolutionary process of planetary change. Last year in late May, I wrote a column entitled Wonder Woman, the Lord of Chaos and the Lord of Karma. It addressed the then present global economic whack-job/crisis, the oil rig tragedy in the Gulf of Mexico, the apparent ineptitude of big business and the stagnation of our partisanship government. Many people were up in arms and aghast at what was happening and I had been asked by numerous parties for an astrological interpretation. This week, that same question is being repeated. In a nutshell: these wild and crazy times continue as synthetic and natural worlds continue to crash and collide. This weeks nuclear disaster in Tohoku revisits last summers gushing oil well nightmare in the Gulf. And the rising casualties and devastation in wake of Japans earthquake/tsunami, the upheaval in Egypt and the unrest in Libya amplify a reverberating, log rhythmic theme: cataclysm, chaos and karma. Which way to turn? What to do? How to stay calm in an ever-hotter, flatter, less stable and more reactive world?
Astrologically, we are working with the powerful tension of a cardinal grand cross, involving the planets Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. This is humanitys ongoing challenge for creative change. As quoted from my column last year, which is still appropriate and relevant for today:
The forces in power dont want to let go, but conventionally established systems and governments no longer work. As a result, they are breaking down, being exposed and blown apart. The individual human is awakening to truth amidst the chaos. We can suddenly see the bigger picture. We realize we are no longer "alone" but an interconnected web of life and interdependence. What we do on a daily basis affects the world at large. It's time to take action for positive change. We must rally our forces, gather our strength and do whatever we can every moment of every day to make this planet a better place to live, eat, breathe and, ultimately, survive. Recycle, pick up trash, grow a garden, plant a tree. Join a support group, champion a cause, write a letter, make a call, associate with people working for the good of all concerned. Do the next right thing. And hope and pray and wish for good luck, guidance and assistance from the angelic realms, divine forces and spiritual sources. Heaven help us - we need all the help we can get! Amen.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19)
The Pisces lunar cycle comes to fruition on the last day of winter, ending the season with an illuminating crown of intuitive insight and enlightenment. This translates as a powerful mandate for personal awakening and pivotal change. As you stand on the brink of another birthday year, commit to a program of self-betterment and stick to it.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
After several months of planetary emphasis in collective signs, we are now moving in the direction of the personal and individual. This weeks full Moon brings winter to an end and simultaneously shines light upon humanitys evolutionary challenge the integration of head and heart, body and soul, matter and spirit. Feel your feelings and walk your talk.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
As the nodal axis shifts from Cancer/Capricorn to Gemini/Sagittarius, you may also feel a subtle shift of personal priorities, interests and desires. Awareness and awakening are keywords in your week. Pay close attention to synchronistic occurrence and matters of coincidence. You are being called upon to participate in a bigger picture, on a grander scale.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
A long period of personal spiritual searching and researching is drawing to a close. The rather radical experiences and subsequent changes of the last seven years have reinvented your philosophies and perceptions, whether you asked for it or not. Your definition of God and religion has changed as well. Embrace the changes and accept the new reality as it is.
Leo(July 23-Aug.22)
The willingness to face your shadows and fears bursts forth as the Sun and Moon oppose each other in the late degrees of Pisces/Virgo. What is your personal mission here on Earth and what have you come to do? Without too much discourse or deliberation, listen to your heart and hear its wisdom. The answers lie within. With peace and quiet, you will know.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
This weeks Full Moon lunation and the coinciding birth of spring mark a time of important personal endings and new beginnings for the Virgin. Embrace the knowledge you have gained via life experience and use it like a tool to navigate the road ahead. People and relationships come to us as lessons and are precious and essential to our growth. Learn, grow and go.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Springtime heralds the second half of your solar year and indicates the completion of six months of personal focus and attention. In other words, youre ready to be more socially interactive and available. Take it slow and easy as you drop back into the world at large. Balance is your key to health and happiness. Maintain equilibrium and cultivate peace.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Zodiac Pisces is the time for Scorpions to work the heart chakra and realign with the creative source. Love, romance and passion abound in the quest to fuel those inner fires and spark the divine within. Now its time to calm the conflagration and enter the world of inner work and wisdom. Its the best thing you can do to sustain the flames. Relax.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
The Full Moon of Mar. 19th resonates with the challenge for change evoked during the lunar eclipse just prior to Winter Solstice 2010. Think back to that time and know this week is one for personal reawakening and reckoning. Repeating patterns of behavior and themes in relationships must be readdressed and rectified. You can do it, so do it!
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Vernal Equinox marks a time of annual personal cleansing and inner process for those willing to do the work and walk the talk. As noises soften and you seek out spaces and places of peace and quiet, take a good look at where you are and what youre doing. Assess the situation and take action, cultivating integrity and humility along the way. Good luck!
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)
You may feel somewhat overwhelmed by all youve done and how far youve traveled. Take it easy and take your time as you close the door on winter and embark upon the fresh path and possibilities of spring. Increasing light and more direct solar rays infuse you with hope and optimism. Embrace the warmth and keep the faith. Get out and get er done.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20)
This weeks Full Moon in late Pisces brings a year of powerful personal emotional experience to a close. What youve done, what youve learned, who youve helped and what has happened as a result illuminates a path of spiritual enlightenment and growth. Feel your feelings and accept responsibility for your choices as you step forward into spring.
