Thanksgivng Gratitude & Grace
Once upon a time, in America, Thanksgiving marked the beginning of the holiday season. Of course, that was long, long ago. Today, ghosts and goblins, witches and pumpkins, devils, angels, brooms and candlesticks put an end to summer and push us in to a virtual land of Christmas commercials and television ads, images of Santa’s barn full of red and white Mercedes, Corona beaches with coco palms and Christmas lights, Black Fridays and everyone thinking about money and shopping.
But, thankfully, we still have Thanksgiving – in the middle – between Halloween and Christmas. It’s a time to take a deep breath and take note of where we are, where we’ve been and where we’re heading – inevitably toward Christmas and then, another New Year. But for now, we are here. Here on Earth, sharing the beauty and bounty, feeling gratitude and – if we are truly grateful – the miracle of grace.
Here's to a happy, healthy, joyous Thanksgiving. Peace, love and joy…
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) Thanksgiving is all about gratitude and there is plenty to be grateful for. The radical changes, sudden upsets and instability of the last several years have turned the wheel and put you on one new road after another. Wild, freedom-loving Uranus in Aries squaring “it’s my way or the highway” Pluto in “you have to follow the rules” Capricorn has forced more than one structural upheaval. Responsibility is liberty.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) You may see the light at the end of the tunnel where partners and partnership responsibilities are concerned, especially when it comes to personal time. Others are be coming more self-sufficient and less dependent; it’s time to give them room to grow. Venus in your solar 8th house of joint finance favors negotiation and settlement regarding investment. Relationship intimacy also improves. Be sweet.
Gemini (May 20-June 20) With ruler Mercury now in Sagittarius, your solar 7th house of relationships, you may find others suddenly wanting and willing to communicate, travel and learn with you. You may also discover great pleasure in companionship and camaraderie. Seek out people you admire and are attracted to. Good things come via sharing and pairing. Consider holiday plans and projects, make lists and identify what you want.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) Revolutionary, rebel-planet Uranus in mid-Aries squares power-obsessed Pluto in controlling Capricorn for the entire month of December, putting pressure on patience, pushing reform and demanding change. It’s sort of like one hand wants to hit the throttle while the other one wants to pull the brake. Balance is the key here, as well as self-nurturing. These are crazy, difficult times. Breathe deep, and relax.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) Thanksgiving grace comes via sharing wealth, loving life and counting blessings. And with generous, good-luck, good-fortune planet Jupiter moving into the third decant of Leo, you should have plenty to share. Smile and be happy, let your bountiful light shine upon those seeking illumination and lead by example. Life is not easy, and when things are good, it’s good to be good.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) Home is where the heart is. As the holiday season officially begins, take a good, long look around you. Guardian angels and angelic spirits continue to surround, guide and protect you. Look for signs and omens and keep the faith as you move ever closer to your upcoming August 2015 Jupiter return. You are now wrapping up a major 12-year cycle, ending what started in 2003. Mend fences and clean up messes.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) If you’ve been feeling the crunch of social pressure, professional responsibilities, relationship demands, family obligations and personal desires, blame it on the stars. Libras have worked hard in these areas for a couple of years, attempting to keep it all in balance. Sacrifice is a strong undercurrent in the river of life now and it may be difficult to maintain balance as you ride the waves. Do your best; let go of the rest.
Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) As birthday embers keep the heart and hearth warm, new flames flicker with awakened desire. Love planet Venus in your solar 2nd house of personal resource encourages self-fueled creative and romantic efforts and interests. If there is something you want, pursue it. If it’s someone you want to be with, show up and be sweet. You are coming the end of a long period of serious restructure. Be the best you can be.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) Happy birthdays continue as candles are lit and cakes are cut. Others find you unusually attractive now, don’t be surprised if you get everything you ask for. This is actually somewhat like the Midas touch, the world is your oyster; the Universe beckons you to create and manifest. Focus on responsible choices, cultivate patience and maintain momentum. Good things come to those who work for it. Keep the faith.
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) As the world turns, Capricorns can see it turn. There is a wildly, wacky element of personal change and transformation happening as Uranus and Pluto form a rather stationery square throughout December 2014. It’s as if you are testing everything you’ve learned and experienced, cleaning the shaft from the grain, harvesting kernels of wisdom and saving seeds for your future gardens. Perseverance furthers.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) As November morphs into December and holiday bells deck the halls, smile and be happy for your great, good fortune. Take a look around and count your blessings, starting with your own life and consciousness. While you may travel a road less traveled, to the beat of a distant drum, you are metaphysically in synch with the universe, singing your heart song. Truth is your ally and justice your friend. Stay on the path.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Planetary shifts from Scorpio to Sagittarius put emphasis on heartfelt goals and illuminate many paths to personal success and achievement. The extreme busy-ness which you have been party to is all part of the plan. Visionary hopes and dreams squared off with reality as you redefined values and reassessed desires. Knowing what you want is the key to manifesting it. If you don’t know, keep the faith and enjoy the ride.

Thanksgiving, Gratitude, Grace and Galactic Cosmic Travelers...
A fresh new Moon in the early degrees of inspirational Sagittarius on November 22nd sets the tone for this Thanksgiving week and entire holiday season. As the ninth sign of the tropical zodiac, and last - therefore most evolved - fire sign, Sagittarius represents the energy of spirit, the rather elusive and yet all pervasive energy of divine cosmic consciousness.
In its quest to discover, experience and understand, the Sagittarian Archer explores the furthest reaches of the cosmos, tapping into higher mind and higher self along the way.
By the time we get to Sagittarius, we have traveled the primal lands of ego and self [Aries], learned to survive [Taurus], think and communicate [Gemini], feel and fear [Cancer], love and create [Leo], analyze and improve [Virgo], share and pair [Libra]. And then we come to the seductive, intriguing territory of the soul [Scorpio]. It is here we feel our deepest passions and face our deepest fears. We are seduced by sexual desire and the instinctive urge to merge with something or someone magnetically attractive or mysteriously powerful. It is here obsession and compulsion show up. We discover our own inherent vulnerability and awaken to the art of war.
In a battle of wills, the ego must lay down its arms and surrender to death, the inevitable destiny of birth. And it is here, in letting go of whatever we so strongly hold onto, that we are transformed. Birth, death and rebirth - the Scorpio archetype - the metaphysical, metamorphic process of evolutionary change.
The center of our Milky Way Galaxy lies at 28 degrees Sagittarius. The Archer aims his arrow at this target, shooting for the stars. It is in Sagittarius we rise above the Mother Earth and see our beautiful, blue planet in its poignant grace and vulnerability. We see the rivers and mountains, oceans and deserts, green forests and fertile valleys as the Sun illuminates day. At night shimmering, sparkling cities trace the size and shape of human civilizations. Further out, we encounter comets and asteroids, planets and stars. We are cosmic travelers, seeking knowledge, enlightenment and truth.
Happy Thanksgiving week. May your holiday be blessed with gratitude and your journey be lluminated by starlight. Peace, love and joy.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) As the Sun moves from secretive, seductive Scorpio into philanthropic Sagittarius, you may feel more optimistic and hopeful than you have in months. Gratitude is a powerful ally now. The more often you tap into it, the happier and healthier you will be. The trick is in keeping it all in balance, remaining realistic amidst the many options, possibilities and visions for the future that glimmer before you. Easy does it.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) Motivational Mars in your solar 5th house of personal creativity and recreational activity may inspire you to craft presents, decorate for the holidays or otherwise express your inherent artistic talents. In the very least, you will feel rather romantic and childlike. Be sure to take some time to have fun and be with people you like. It’s the time of year to be thankful and, after all, you have so much to be thankful for!
Gemini (May 20-June 20) With love-planet Venus and the life-spirit Sun now in your solar 7th house of partnership and marriage, you may find yourself having fun with and enjoying the company of those with whom you are closest. It’s a great time to negotiate, discuss, compromise or work out agreements with people you live or work with. We have to let others know how we feel and what we need. Enlighten and encourage trust and faith.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) Man-and-war planet Mars in your solar 7th house of partnership may light the fire when it comes to others now. You may experience the wrath or anger of something or someone close, calm the storm and keep the peace. In another scenario, people stimulate, motivate and inspire you. The main thing is accepting personal responsibility for yourself and your life. Work on self-improvement and reap the rewards.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) While you may still be thinking about what’s going on inside hearth and home, the real fun is waiting out and about. Thanksgiving week marks the beginning of the holiday season and a time of loving and giving – two of your favorite things! Count your blessings and make the peace with those whom you might have upset or hurt. Forgiveness is the key to happiness, serenity and emotional freedom. Share the wealth.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) As the Sun enters fiery Sagittarius, your solar 4th house of the home and family, you may feel inspired to expand, explore or express your gratitude when it comes to parents, children, brothers and sisters. In the very least, you will find great comfort and inspiration close to home and hearth. Love and romance motivate and get you up and out. Refrain from negative thinking and focus on what’s right rather than what’s wrong.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) You may feel more curious than you have in weeks and, as a result, crave good, intelligent conversation, information and ideas. Good things come to those who explore libraries, cultural events and the shimmering world outside your door. Check out the neighborhood, make contact with friends, go shopping. With the holidays on the horizon, let your creative mind and artistic heart have fun.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 20) With your mind stuck on daily agendas, responsibilities and personal obligations, you may have lost track of what others are feeling and thinking. It’s never too late to reach out and connect with the people you love, all you have to do is do it! Be kind to yourself first and recognize just how important that is. The last few years have been tough, but you have learned so much.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) Your happy birthday month begins this year just past midnight on Nov. 22, when the Sun moves into Sagittarius. Take a deep breath as your new solar year begins and give honor to the day you took your first one. The chances of human incarnation are one in a billion. Life is a miracle. And so is all organic life on our home planet Earth. Gratitude is the crown jewel in the Thanksgiving crown, and you are it! It’s up to you.
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) As motivator Mars moves through the late degrees of Capricorn, take a look at what you have accomplished over the last few weeks and honor the work. Physical energy should be good and strong, channel it in positive, productive ways. Also be sure to get outside, walk, exercise – whatever it takes - otherwise you may get cranky, angry or frustrated and take it out on others. And that’s the last thing you want to do.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) As the last days of zodiac Scorpio come to pass, you may feel a lessening of pressure regarding professional demands and responsibilities. Hallelujah! A summer of intense work and accomplishment, followed by a very busy autumn, is now winding down. But it’s not over yet; there is still plenty to do. Job security continues but you can see light at the end of the tunnel. Count your blessings, have a fabulous Thanksgiving.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Mental Mercury in your solar 9th house of the higher mind and self stimulates philanthropic thoughts and spiritual aspirations. Seek out teachings and texts that inspire and uplift you. Metaphysics, quantum physics or other “out there” possibilities may beckon discovery or call to you in some way. Explore new territory spiritually and intellectually as the holiday season approaches. Give thanks for love and life.

Visible planets: Morning: Mercury, Jupiter Evening: Mars
Anniversary is a word we use for all kinds of things. Weddings and festivals are two that come to mind. Annual birthday celebrations honor another year upon planet Earth - another revolution around the Sun - one’s personal anniversary of life. Anniversaries remind us of life’s turning points, and serve us as markers through time. Days when we take stock of where we are today in light of where we were before.
Many anniversaries are happy, with cakes and candles, presents and dancing. But we also take note of those events that bring tears to our eyes and sorrow to our hearts. Some are collective events - the death of a world leader, the marriage of a prince and princess, a natural disaster, the beginning or end of war.
I have lived long enough to observe and commemorate many anniversaries. I have been married now longer than I was single. I have watched many, many Super Bowls and attended countless annual festivals in Telluride. In America, the Independence Day holiday celebration on the 4th of July is the most obvious national anniversary. On the darker side, the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 and the World Trade Center terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 stand out as two tragic collective experiences that changed the face of time and continue each year to evoke memories and feelings of shock, mourning and loss.
Happy and sad, joy and sorrow, birth and death. We humans are here on Earth feeling our feelings and facing our fears, celebrating life, sharing our hopes and dreams, doing the best we can. Life is an enigmatic journey of agony and ecstasy, laughter and tears. All of us have lost people we loved, cried in the darkness and prayed for salvation. And all of us have experienced the magic of love and the miracle of grace. Broken hearts break open, and grateful hearts heal pain.
This week I take note of a 20-year anniversary of someone I love, someone I lost to the world of spirit. I am honoring the life and love of my sweet niece Lise, who left us on a snowy, slushy, icy night in November 1994. It’s difficult to face my sorrow and share my pain with the world, but for some reason I am compelled to do so. I know I am not the first person on this planet who has lost someone they love and feels the deep, mysterious loss of their absence every time the anniversary of their departure rolls around – in fact, we are everywhere. The amount of love we feel for the departed is equal to the amount of sorrow we feel for no longer having them physically present on Earth, here with us. I also understand that ultimately, it is all about compassion, gratitude and the grace of love.
So as the metaphysical, mysterious, dark, death and rebirth energy of the Scorpio zodiac month draws to a close, may we find the courage and strength to feel our deepest feelings and face our greatest fears. May we connect with spirit, hug the ones we love, count our blessings and discover the magic of gratitude and the miracle of grace. Peace and starlight...
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) The last week of zodiac Scorpio favors introspection and inner work. Understanding the extreme influence your behavior has over your life and relationships is the key to happiness, health and true wealth. Blaming others for troubles or believing someone else can solve your problems postpones progress and impedes growth. Personal responsibility, right action and living amends unlock doors to freedom.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) As ruler Venus moves from Scorpio into Sagittarius, take note of any and all relationship change. You may discover a more uplifting, optimistic enthusiasm where others are concerned. By focusing on the positive aspects and qualities of those with whom you are committed, you nurture their growth. Motivation to expand your world – mentally, physically and spiritually – continues. Go with it.
Gemini (May 20-June 20) Love and money planet Venus enters your solar 7th house of commitment and marriage this week and remains there for several. Don’t be surprised if others are knocking at your door, delivering presents and requesting your attention. Sharing and pairing is favored now, romance glimmers and it’s a fabulous time for being with the ones you love. And don’t keep it superficial, go deeper and discover magic.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) You may feel more serious and committed regarding love and romance than you have in months as the Sun and Saturn come together in your solar 5th house of the heart. Fun is fun and laughter is the best medicine, but somehow you are wanting to prune the bush when it comes to fluffy, flirtatious, superficial relationships. In other words, you don’t want to waste your time. If it’s good, work on it. If not, let it go.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) Following a very busy week of planetary clash and crash, with issues of personal freedom, will and responsibility leading the charge, you may just want to find a warm, safe, soft place to relax and take it easy. Over-doing and over-thinking add to stress and erode happiness, health and well-being. Jupiter in your sign favors good thoughts, right action and good faith. Count your blessings and enjoy the bounty.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) As guardian angels and angelic beings continue to bless you with unusually sweet songs and signs of their presence, keep your feet on the ground and eyes on the road. Life is a dance of perpetual balance. We must maintain healthy boundaries in everything we do. Understanding equations of action and consequence is key to living a happy, healthy life. Give people space and tale care of your own back yard. Keep it clean!
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) Mars conjunct Pluto and square Uranus in cardinal signs last week may have tested your sense of inner peace and outer calm as crazy, chaotic forces and influences bring issues of deception, control and coercion out of the darkness and into the light. Stay centered in truth, right action and integrity as others may try to hook or entangle you in their very sticky web. Breathe deep, embrace nature and get good sleep.
Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) Venus moves from Scorpio into neighboring Sagittarius this week, opening doors of enhanced financial opportunity via personal creativity. With so many gifts and talents, the world is your oyster. Take a good look at what you love and value. Are you happy at your job, is your work fulfilling? If not, it’s time to consider what inspires you. In so many words, do what you love and the rest will follow.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) On the heels of a wild week of planetary push and shove, radical awakening and realistic acceptance and adjustment regarding love, money and romance, voluptuous Venus moves into your sign. Translation: seek the peace, mend fences, feel and follow your heart. You will not regret doing the kind thing, no matter who or what. Truth is your warrior but compassion is your ally. Be sweet and enjoy the joy.
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) You may feel the winds of change blowing through your heart and head as you cross a bridge from past to present this week. If you are feeling tired, beat up, over-worked or just over it, don’t feel like the Lone Ranger. Recent planetary conjunctions and squares in your sign have forced a variety of rather surprising awakenings to the surface of awareness. Stay centered and know you are loved.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Snap, crackle, pop! The world turns as political upsets and positioning for power runs rampant. Whether it’s national, regional, local or personal, you are well aware of what fuels the fire and turns the wheel: money. A rather disgusting, disturbing state of affairs? Yes. And yet, you are smart enough to understand human nature and that you can only be responsible for you. That said, just do your best. Focus on inner peace.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Your ruling planet Neptune goes direct this week after several months of retrograde. This heralds a major shift and virtual sea change of emotion and feeling for the Fish. Dreams, illusions, ideals, hopes, wishes and desires have come full circle over the last year. You are now standing on the brink of a new land and era of personal creativity. Gather inner resources, identify inspirations and prepare to begin.

In the name of the Father Sky, Mother Earth and Great Spirit…
We have so much to be grateful for. The magnificent planet upon which we spiral through the Milkly Way Galaxy gives us everything we need. The trick is in learning how to love, honor and respect the amazing, abundant resources with which we are provided. Life is an enigmatic journey and the human experience promises us all an eternity of polarity. Life and death, light and darkness, yin and yang; we learn to know feelings of both joy and sorrow, love and hate, trlust and fear, agony and ecstasy.
The Buddha teaches us that suffering is unavoidable. It’s how we handle it that counts. Can we face our fears, accept our anger and angst, understand that we cannot control the ever-changing weather – no matter how hard we try? Can we accept others as they are, and recognize the futility of trying to change them? Especially when we feel they need our help? Compassion and loving-kindness, peace and equanimity, honesty and integrity - all tenets of spirit – keep us on the good, red road - the path of heart. Can we maintain our balance as we walk the road? Do we have the courage to open our hearts to the pain and suffering of the world?
The November 6th full Moon in Taurus was born on October 23rd at 0 degrees 25 minutes Scorpio in the shape of a partial solar eclipse. Coming to fruition at 15 degrees Taurus, on one of the year’s four cross-quarter days – when electromagnetic pulls are at a peak – this lunation stands as a powerful turning point on our personal, collective, global and cosmic journey through time and space. Taurus/Scorpio is all about resources and values, on every level. So as the days shorten and nights darken, we must go inside - physically and spiritually. We must turn inward. We must find our inner resource, the divine spark, the fire within and follow the light. With gratitude and grace, may we walk in beauty and stay on the path.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) The Nov. 6th full Moon in Taurus shines brilliant light on your relationship to the physical world. Self-reliance and self-responsibility are themes. No amount of money or material possessions will ever be enough if you don’t have a healthy sense of self-worth. Your greatest gains come via intelligent – rather than impulsive – resource management. Balance the books; slow the pace and keep the peace.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) In earthy Taurus, we discover what we most require and value to sustain a happy, healthy life. In steamy Scorpio, we uncover what we most desire – physically, emotionally and spiritually. This week’s full Moon illuminates the connectedness and common ground between these two polarities. Wealth is not so much about money as it is about what matters most. Count your blessings, instead of dollars.
Gemini (May 20-June 20) As the Taurus full Moon shimmers down upon autumn landscapes and leaves pave walkways golden, the cooling winds carry messages of metamorphic change and transformation. Passionate Mars conjuncts life-or-death Pluto and squares rebellious Uranus this week, unveiling deep soul needs, fears and desires. Secrets and intimacy are themes. Cultivate courage and embrace truth as your steadfast ally.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) Partners, mates, friends and allies gather force and compel action as lunar light illuminates your most cherished hopes and dreams. Career opportunity, upset or change awakens shimmering professional possibilities. Rather than stress over job security or stability, focus on the variety of options that you have to choose from. This is a time for discovering what you really want and value. Trust your intuition along the way.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) Mars, the ancient god of war and men, represents our personal passion and willpower. Pluto was the ancient god of wealth and death. These two planets come together in your solar 6th house of health and service this week, then make a square to revolutionary Uranus in your solar 9th house of belief. All this translates as a time to be as calm and accepting as possible. Focus on love and refrain from anger.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) A full Taurus Moon opens a week of powerful awakening and illumination. Self-worth, material security, personal income and earning potential are themes. Recent changes in your domestic environment, family structure and personal relationships have put you on a new path. You are cleaning house - literally and metaphorically - pruning the bush, and preparing for an expansive12-year Jupiter cycle. Keep the faith.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) You may feel the powerful pull of personal desire and will as the Nov. 6th Taurus full Moon encourages a cautious, calm and patient approach to the week. Meanwhile, planets conjoin and square in cardinal signs, sparking excitement and compelling change. Partners and mates play a big part in your week. When will the madness end? Maintain inner peace and focus on self-care. Believe it or not, all is as it should be.
Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) A big week for seductive Scorpios unveils itself as a big Taurus full Moon rises above the eastern horizon. Other people, places and things take center-stage in a performance of who is who and what is what. “Seeing is believing,” or is that “believe and see”? Metaphysical possibilities abound, and you are the one and only one to make the most out of your life and times. Embrace the magic, live the dream.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) Vesta, goddess of the hearth and keeper of the flame, is happily centered in your sign as the Moon grows full, flickering embers of love and encouraging acts of kindness and nurturing compassion in your relationships. Meanwhile, the rest of the world seems to be burning. Whatever the situation, maintain calm and keep the peace when it comes to your immediate environment. Lead by example, do your best.
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) Big news for Capricorn: passionate Mars and transformational Pluto come together in your sign on Nov. 10th and are followed on Nov. 12th by a square to Pluto from rebellious Uranus in Aries. This translates as a major point of life reckoning and soul awakening, no matter how you cut the cake. Longstanding issues and longtime relationships shimmer in the cosmic light. Do what you need to do; follow the light.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Love, boundaries, awareness and issues of sustenance and control dance with personal will and wants. A fixed sign full Moon in Taurus lights up the connection between and balance of your professional and domestic responsibilities and success. A powerful planetary conjunction in your solar 12th house of the subconscious may stimulate anger or desire. Be aware of self-defeating behaviors and refrain from behaving badly.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) You may discover other people, places and things upset and on fire this week as planetary aspects impel awakening and change. Issues of personal, social and global control and responsibility are all over the board. Politics and religion are themes. Meanwhile, you understand the path to peace lies within. Personal healing, acts of kindness and compassion are allies on the journey. Keep the pace; cultivate grace.

Visible planets: Morning: Jupiter Evening: Mars, Saturn
Halloween, All Souls Day,All Saints Day y Dia de Los Muertos
Halloween. All Hallowed Eve. Witches fly and spirits rise. The veil between the worlds of life and death grows thin. Fires are kindled and shadows dance as silver moonlight falls upon sleek black cats and vampire bats. Brews bubble and spells are cast…
Séances, Ouija boards, Jack-o-lanterns and flocks of children in costumes and disguises appear amidst swirling leaves and autumn twilight skies. Walkways crackle as trick-or-treaters carry baskets of goodies, immersed in the mystery and magic of this mystical, seasonal gap of time and space, here and there, past and present. Form and formless unite in a metaphysical dance of chance, change and unlimited, infinitely expanding potential and possibility.
May you find the magic, embrace the spirits and experience the wildly exciting connectedness between the visible and invisible. Happy Halloween, blessed All Saints Day, All Souls Day and a very merry Dia de los Muertos. Live and love…now and forever more.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) Spirits rise and darkness lengthens as Halloween opens metaphysical doors to lands of heart and soul. The Scorpio zodiac month is a time of relationship reckoning, when the people with whom you are, or were, most intimately involved step forth. Those who have passed on may appear in dreams or ghostlike apparitions. This is a time of intensity and deep inner process. Make peace with spirit - inside and out.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) All Souls Day follows All Souls Day as goblins gaggle and witches fly. Halloween festivities beckon, pumpkins glow and spirits rise. Tricks and treats abound, and you may find great pleasure sharing time with those you love. Food and fun are themes, but be prepared for some rather quirky people or experiences to pop up or in to your party. Taking it all in with calm and grace is your forte. Why change that now?
Gemini (May 20-June 20) You may find yourself being of service to others in one way or another as Halloween spirits fly and themes of death and rebirth abound. Hopefully, you will find the time and place amidst the depth and darkness to have some fun. Dia de los Muertos is a holiday that honors those who have passed on and over the veil, a veritable celebration of life. Chose joy rather than sorrow, bask in the light and enjoy the laughter.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) The Moon waxes toward full this week, shining silver light upon the mystery and metaphysics of life and death. Scorpio energy stirs the heart and awakens the soul, encourages inner process and rewards outer ritual. As Halloween marks the end of harvest and beginning of winter, why not kindle an actual or virtual fire of love and loving kindness? Physical demonstrations of appreciation are favored, bless the Mother Earth.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) Fires glow and spirits ascend as Halloween celebrates autumn harvest, summer’s end and winter’s impending darkness. A tricky Aquarian Moon reminds us that passion without intelligence will burn us out or lead to dis-aster [against the stars], but a more global view helps find the right places and people in which to invest our heart, time, money and desires. Keep a cool head and maintain a happy, healthy heart.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) Halloween may feel somewhat out-of-sync or have you feeling physically out-of-sorts. Too much pressure to party? Whatever the case and circumstance, focus on your own, personal spiritual condition. Keeping your side of the street clean and maintaining your own back yard, rather than looking over the fence at what’s wrong with the neighbor’s, is a recipe for emotional and spiritual well-being. Enjoy the process!
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) You may want to get out and about or express your heart via magic and ritual as Halloween sparks autumn harvest fires and illuminates deep, soul desires. Good planetary energy abounds as a Leo Jupiter - Libra Mercury sextile opens minds and invokes higher-self being and doing. Soft-edged intimacy follows as you feel the power of love without the gravity of expectation. Enjoy the warmth and stoke the fire.
Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) Your happy birthday month evolves with its customary mystery and magic as metaphysical possibilities awaken and ignite. Congratulations on another revolution around the Sun! Respect and rituals for those who have come and gone are favored as forces gather, ghosts appear and spirits walk in the night. The veil between the living and dead is most thin now. Keep your eyes and heart open, be sweet and kind.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) Metaphysical power and possibility descends upon the land as days shorten and nights grow long. Samhain fires mark the end of summer and the bounty of harvest. Winter awaits in the wings as leaves whirl and spirits fly. Angelic presence surrounds you now, in spite of rather heavy feelings of burden. It’s a time of blessings and peace, but you must be willing to see it to experience it. Look and see.
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) The most mystical, magical time of the year slips its way into your heart and head this week as leaves whirl and witches fly. Friends and lovers appear in costume or in the flesh with bright ideas for fun and frolic. Amidst all the festivities, tricks and treats, carve out some time for soul and spirit. Deep desire, inner yearning and heartfelt knowing fuel hopes and dreams. As a master of manifestation, invoke desire.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Extraterrestrial costumes and futuristic outlooks are favored as a Halloween Aquarius Moon shines light upon the wild, wacky, unusual and unexplainable possibilities of our ever-expanding Universe. Join the fun and celebrate the unique blend of life and death, mystery and metaphysics invoked this week. Others see you as a master magician of art and craft. Break spells and awaken spirits. Have fun.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Ghosts and goblins, witches and warlocks, a fairy princess and devilish deva may appear at your door or about your neighborhood as all kinds of possibilities emerge this week. Looking behind the façade and under the table are themes, both literally and metaphorically as you awaken to the expanding spectrum of life in all its mystery. As a teacher and guide, you are superb. Attraction is your magic, use it wisely and well.

El Amor y Corazon de la Tierra Madre
Yesterday I was overwhelmed by the amazing, awesome power and beauty of the Mother Earth. I had worked most of the day inside, well aware that Indian Summer was blazing outside. Days so precious; no wind, warm, warm sunshine and blue, blue skies, glowing yellow cottonwoods and shimmering aspen, the oaks orange and crimson. The grass surrounding our house is still green, green, green, but the leaves are starting to fall, covering the walkways golden.
Around 4:30 pm, I came out of our bunkhouse and took in the magnificent day. There was something funny about the light. And then I realized, the Sun was in partial eclipse. The light was magical eclipse light, light that is only present when the Sun is being partially eclipsed by the Moon.
Fortunately, due to unusual circumstance, I was with Nancy, a longtime girlfriend and fellow astrologer. We remembered that yes, the eclipse was happening right then and there. Suddenly my husband showed up with our three dogs from their late afternoon walk. He suggested we take a look through one of his welding helmets. Yippee! I had forgotten all about the helmets.
Standing outside his shop, looking west, with welding helmets on our heads, we were able to see the partially eclipsing Sun. Whoppee! Fun. The Moon had taken a big bite out of the bright, bright, brilliant disc of the Sun. We watched for a while, and saw what we wanted to see, and then let it be, eclipse light shining oblique sunrays across the mesa.
I can’t explain how I feel during an eclipse. I always wonder if others feel as I do, or at least something close. I flash on all the eons of human starwatching, stargazing and starlore. Centuries of watching the Sun and Moon eclipse. As an astrologer, I know that solar eclipses are especially powerful new Moons, when the three billion megawatts of electromagnetic energy emitted from the Sun to Earth each day is temporarily disrupted, intercepted by the Moon. Gravitational pulls increase, old matrices dissolve and new pathways open.
Today I am walking a new walk, seeing a new Earth. Yesterday I could feel and breathe the Mother. I saw her magnificent beauty, her feminine wisdom, her fertile abundance. Nurtured and held tight by her powerful gravitational pull, I am home.
The fields yesterday were like a beautiful blonde, with streaks of ashe and amber, platinum and strawberry. The sky ablaze with red, orange and purple - behind my summer-sister sunflowers - kissed me with its grandeur and grace.
Home sweet home, Colorado. Peace, happiness and prosperity. Y vaya con la diosa...con el amor y corazon de la Tierra Madre.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) Relationships, relationships, relationships! The recent lunar eclipse and this week’s solar eclipse shout out loud when it comes to the way you pair, share, interact and live with others. Whether it is a lover, friend, sister, brother, co-worker, boss or teammate, the stars align for major and powerful new beginnings. Old patterns are broken in the light of truth and you are free to be authentically you. Stay in the light.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) As partners, mates and relationships with significant others have been center-stage for months and months, you may find little surprise that the trend continues. The good news is that you are embarking upon fresh territory and new ground. But first, you must be willing to offer up old ways of being and behaving. Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) Scorpio represents the liberating, transformative quality of death. In order to birth a new order or form, we must first be willing to let go of the old ones. Of course, it isn’t easy to throw away or abolish what we have worked so hard and long to manifest. But now, it’s imperative and will take place whether you like it or not. Evolution is the name of this game and it’s all about willingness. Just be willing to embrace what comes.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) You may find yourself suddenly awakened to a new way of rulership and resource management as a powerful pack of planets aligns in your solar 10th house of career goals and accomplishments. Eclipse energy has broadened your perspective and enlightened your awareness regarding others. You now realize the impact of your behavior regarding productivity and success. Keep up the good work. Let it flow.

This translates as a time of heightened intuition, creativity and productivity regarding personal dreams and desires. You can do both the inner and outer work; balancing spiritual with material and relaxation with accomplishment. Enjoy the joy of life!

The Perfect Time to Wish Upon a Star...
The Moon wanes each night this week, growing progressively smaller and more delicate in the early morning predawn skies. Mental Mercury [now retrograde in Libra] and voluptuous Venus pair up on the morning of Oct. 17th and are followed by the conjunction of generous Jupiter and the maternal Moon in royal, fiery, full-of-heart Leo before sunset. This translates as plenty of thought, emotion, passion, optimism and hope regarding relationships and heartfelt desires. These days are power-packed with ecliptic possibility and potential, and this week is one filled with the fertile cosmic soil in which to plant seeds of good intention and deep desire. Seeds that wil eventually manifest, as long as they are planted with sincerity, humility, honesty, gratitude, trust and faith.
And the night skies are stellar. The blue-black canopy of deep space sparkles with glittering diamonds as the stars of autumn and winter rise in the east in twilight and travel west until dawn.
And as the slender, crescent Moon moves ever-closer toward the October 23rd solar eclipse in early Scorpio, the infinite, eternal cosmic womb grows ever more fertile. So why not take some time this week and utilize these magically charmed, magnetically charged days and nights to feel your own heart and soul, find the fire within connect with the Spirit of the Universe and wish upon a star? It’s something that cannot be explained, just experienced. Good luck and may the Force be with you!

Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) The Moon darkens this week as eclipse energy emanates rays of personal magnitude and import regarding the most significant people in your world. Who are you in relation to others? How do you see yourself and how do others see you? Family, friends, lovers, bosses, authorities and co-workers want you to succeed. Responsibility is awesome. Accept it and be free. Do the best you can. Really do it!
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) The major impact from trials and tribulations of partners and significant others has peaked. Physical, emotional and spiritual challenges have taken their toll, but the good news is you have now both changed for the better. Health is wealth and taking good care of yourself sets a standard and example for others to follow. Just keep doing your part, be the best you can be and reap the rewards of spiritual generosity.
Gemini (May 20-June 20) A powerful pack of planets in your solar 6th house of service may have you doing for others what they cannot do for themselves. And, bless you, there is nothing more rewarding than helping people who need and appreciate what you have to give. Just make sure you are taking care of yourself in the process. Eclipse energy ignites personal creativity and favors daily programs of self-improvement. Stay on the path.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) As the Moon wanes and night skies sparkle with starlight, take time to explore the magical world of spirit. October is a month of transformation and metamorphosis for Moonchildren as the Mother Earth offers her magnificent beauty and bounty. Gather wood for winter, put food by, spend time in the kitchen but get outside in seductive Indian Summer whenever you can. Good things come to those who love.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) As the Scorpio solar eclipse draws ever closer, count your blessings and focus upon goodness. Wanting what you have rather than what you don’t have is the key to happiness. Good health, a warm home and a happy heart top the list of priority when it comes to now. Breathe deep, sleep well. Communicate feelings of love to those you love, practice kindness and compassion. And be gentle with you.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) Busy business, commerce and communication are themes as the October 23rd solar eclipse draws closer. Keep your heart open and your mind clear. It’s time to clean, organize and prioritize. Make lists and take a good long look at how you manage finances. Reckless spending and self-indulgent behaviors simply do not work for you. Self-improvement and sacrifice do. Be practical, balance the budget and keep it real.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) The recent Aries-Libra total lunar eclipse illuminated issues of self and other with brilliant clarity and stellar light. The result is a more enlightened view of what you are here to do and with whom you are best suited to do it. Personal creativity, happiness and good health are themes. The Earth Walk is one of unlimited possibility and potential but also limited time. Each day is a gift. Use it wisely and well.
Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) These days are packed with power and potential. Others see you as incredibly gifted, charismatically attractive, uniquely skilled and competent in everything you do. Now then, what are your choices? As eclipse energy builds, take a serious personal inventory of your actions and attitudes. Identify what needs bolstering and/or improvement. Commit to a practice of self-betterment and start reaping the rewards.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) Angels and guardian spirits surround you as eclipse energy shimmers sparkles of love and light upon your path. The main thing is to stay on the path of goodness, gratitude and grace. The time has come for self-forgiveness, compassion and loving-kindness when it comes to others. A gentle approach is the best approach now. Angry, self-righteous attitudes and actions are destined to fail. Enjoy the glow, shine on.
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) Challenge and change is now the norm for stoic Capricorns. No matter what the weather, you seem to have the right equipment and resources to do the job, and do it well. Good news is that your inherent skills and talents have been honed to near-perfection. Accomplishment is your middle name. This week, calm the jets and take some time to relax and replenish. Identify aspirations and follow your dreams.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) The Libra zodiac month is one of inspiration and higher-self awareness. The upcoming Scorpio zodiac month is one of accomplishment and recognition. Both combine for an extended period of success and reward. Congratulations. You have reached a certain type of performance peak and are reaping the harvest of your hard work and perseverance. Get ready to start another major phase. Rest and relax.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Communication and motivation combine in the effort to improve intimacy and trust in your most important relationships. And, good news, now is a perfect time for success. As days grower shorter and nights are longer, we instinctively want to pair and partner. Others are more than willing to share resources, thoughts and emotions. Give what you want to receive and be confident about the return. No pressure, choose joy.

Hunting Spirit on the October Full Hunters Moon
Life is a winding road of ups and downs, hills, plateaus, peaks and valleys. We encounter raging rivers, bubbling brooks, swirling eddies and quiet pools. The weather changes constantly, and we have to adjust to whatever comes our way.
Magnificent sunsets, brilliant rainbows, sparkling stars, crescent Moons and days of magical grace are also found along the trail. How incredible to be on the journey, traveling through space upon our home Mother-Earth-ship, at one with the cosmos, experiencing and embracing it all.
Last week, life on planet Earth was treated to a fabulous total lunar eclipse, visible in most of North America. And here in southwestern Colorado, we were lucky to see a truly special sidelight of that eclipse. In the late afternoon and early evening hours of Tuesday, October 7th, the Sun was surrounded by a complete solar halo, or sundog, a celestial phenomena named by Native American Indians and caused by the prismatic effect of the Sun’s rays shining through atmospheric ice crystals.
Sundogs are seen mostly in winter, and more often in the Earth’s northern latitudes. Like rainbows, they are refracted, reflected solar light. With rainbows, the Sun is always behind the rainbow, shining through hydrogen-rich atmosphere. In other words, when we see a rainbow, we are always looking away from the Sun – the Sun is behind rather in front of us. With sundogs, we are looking toward the Sun, and solar rays are shining out and through frozen water crystals in the atmosphere or sky–space surrounding the Sun.
And then, there are moondogs, another lovely celestial treat seen in autumn and winter night skies. A moondog is just like a sundog, but instead of solar rays, lunar rays refract and reflect through the atmosphere’s crystalline ice, surrounding the Moon with a circle of pastel, rainbow-like light. October 7th gifted us with both. And then, in the predawn morning hours of October 8th, the Earth eclipsed the Sun’s light upon the full Hunters Moon and we experienced a blood-red total lunar eclipse.
Hunting spirit on a Hunters Moon, I found exactly what I wanted; spirit in all its mystery and magnificence. The stars in all their beauty, the recurring dance of the Sun, Moon and Mother Earth; sundogs and moondogs…on the long and winding road of life. Forever and ever…again and again. Blessings and peace. May we walk in beauty.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) The first full week of Mercury retrograde may have you reliving or remembering the history of your most significant relationships. Family, friends, partners and paramours dance through your mind and heart. Lessons learned are precious and are the key to self-improvement via personal responsibility. Understanding how we create suffering for others and ourselves is the most valuable tool of all. Open the spiritual toolbox.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) As the Aries-Libra eclipse window remains open to relationship review and retrofit, you may find yourself repeating patterns and examining the value of those patterns. A partner or mate may need assistance or return to a state of health that requires care. Helping others through difficult times is greatly appreciated and, if nothing else, a path of grace and goodness. Just be sure to take care of yourself along the way.
Gemini (May 20-June 20) If you are feeling romantic or creative, take advantage of the feeling and pursue your heart’s desires. Whether it’s love or art, recreation or Mother Nature’s pleasures, get out and see the beauty and bounty of your miraculous life. Energy is catchy and happiness generates more happiness. Love and laughter are tonics for suffering and pain. You need not go far to find golden treasure. Seek and you shall find.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) Relationships top your list of priority and attention this week as Aries-Libra eclipse energy, love-loving Venus and it’s-on-my-mind Mercury retrograde in Libra - sign of partnership and marriage – have you thinking about commitment and considering whether or not you’re ready. No worries, you need not make a decision yet. Discussions suffice at present. Take your time, consider options and enjoy the present.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) The brilliant light of jovial Jupiter illuminates your path with hope and optimism as colors change and autumn glistens. Embrace it all with good faith and good will. Others see you as lucky now, and you are, but you also know just how much hard work and perseverance it has taken to get you where you are today. Nothing is permanent and no feeling is final. Enjoy the joy and count your blessings. Stay on the path.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) Good feelings and happy hearts come via the practice of self-improvement. Whether it’s diet, exercise, yoga, mediation, prayer or other types of pro-active action, it is imperative that you stick with the program and maintain it. Structure is essential to Virgo health and while you are a master of flexibility, recognize your inherent need for a consistency and commitment. Open your heart to others, but put self-care first.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) This is a big, big time for Libras of all stripes and colors. Not only is it your birthday zodiac month, but these weeks also happen to be magnificently charged with powerful ecliptic energies of awakening, transformation and change. Breathe deep and see beauty and bounty all around you. Feel the grace of gratitude and count your blessings. Embrace the goodness of spirit, invoke the angels and follow the light.
Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) Mental Mercury jumps ship this week and retrogrades from early Scorpio into late Libra, leaving you with a glimmer of things to come. Good news is that you are being given another golden opportunity to ask your angels, connect with spirit and practice the arts of meditation and prayer. It’s actually a time of great personal resource and realignment regarding desire. Get plenty of rest and do your best.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) You may find yourself reviewing hopes and dreams, reconnecting with people who have supported and inspired you, as well as retrofitting the shape of things to come. Flexibility and mobility are inherent impulses for the Archer while travel and exploration are tonics for the soul. Knowing self is the key to happiness. Responsibility is the key to freedom and acceptance is the key to peace.
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) The winds of change blow wild and free as the Aries-Libra window opens on the depth and breadth of your most committed and intimate relationships. The power of love can be daunting and even scary at times, so it’s imperative to recognize the pitfalls of expectation. Accept others as they are and focus on what you can do to make your life better, rather than theirs. If you want a cat, don’t go get a dog.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Pressure lessens a bit this week, but the race continues as you wind up one phase and begin another. You can apply what you found out, the information you now have and the metamorphic process of transformation to your current place and position. Everyone loves a winner, and you are loved. Just don’t let it go to your head and distort your sense of reality. After all, you are only human. Enjoy your life on planet Earth.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Your personal place and space is emphasized as you see the value of self-motivated action and resource. Others may want you to play, work or relax with them, and it’s all about balance. Make sure you are taking care of the things you want to get done or do; otherwise you may find yourself feeling crabby or resentful. And, as far as getting them to help you, it might be happier just doing it yourself. Good luck!

The October 8th Pre-dawn Aries-Libra Total Lunar Eclipse
Good news for Moon watchers and star gazers – in the early, predawn hours of Wednesday October 8th the Moon will pass into the Earth’s shadow and the western United States will be treated to the rather unusual celestial phenomena of a total lunar eclipse. Here in southwestern Colorado, totality takes place at 4:51 am MDT, so viewing should be fantastic.
For millennia, astrologers and soothsayers have given import and significance to total lunar and solar eclipses, portending anything from simple celestial beauty to cataclysmic disaster. And as humans seem to love the adrenalin rush of imagining phenomenal, cataclysmic disasters, this particular eclipse – which is the final eclipse of 2014 and the second of four consecutive total eclipses [a series called a tetrad] occurring at 6 month intervals – has cyberspace aflame with plenty of good and bad, ridiculous and outlandish information and ideas regarding the event.
I, personally, love eclipses. I have experienced both fabulous and tragic events, emotions, experiences, awakenings and transformations at times surrounding these magical, metaphysical planetary conjunctions and oppositions. From the sudden, unexpected death of my sweet niece Lise 20 years ago to the uncanny elation, connection and actual spiritual levitation of feeling and being “one with the cosmos,” I am very open-hearted and willing to embrace whatever comes my way during open “eclipse windows.”
Over the years, I have come to understand that “eclipse windows” are approximate 6-week periods that start two weeks prior to an eclipse and last for two weeks after the eclipse. And because solar and lunar eclipses take place in tandem – one follows the other – the two week period between a solar and lunar eclipse, plus the two two- week periods before and after add up to a total of six weeks. That said, we are now experiencing the October 2014 waxing phase of the now-in-place open lunar-solar eclipse window. Can you feel it?
And for those who might be interested in finding out more about the astronomy and of this magnificent celestial event, you might check out this link: http://astrobob.areavoices.com or just Google the event yourself on the wildly informative Internet. You will find doomsday prophecies, as well as plenty of good astronomical information and graphics.
Good luck and may the eclipse window awaken your spirit, open your heart and soothe your soul. Onward Cosmic Travelers. Blessings, peace and starlight…
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) Hot-button topics and issues of personal emotion versus other people’s perspectives and experience pop up all over this week. The upcoming lunar eclipse in Aries-Libra heralds several super-intense and powerful opportunities to show others who you really are. Snap, crackle, pop! You have changed. Energy is catchy; words and thoughts manifest feelings, feelings fuel action. Be cautious, aware and responsible.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) You may receive subtle, somewhat mixed messages from or regarding others this week as the Moon waxes toward the Oct 8th Full Moon lunar eclipse. While your first reaction to the confusion may be annoyance, anger or angst, stellar wisdom advises and favors positions of emotional detachment and calm compassion. A champion of the long haul, the Bull often wins via patience, practice and perseverance. You got it!
Gemini (May 20-June 20) With the eclipse window open wide, why not let in a big dose of cosmically charged, clean, fresh air? Epiphanies and breakthroughs come when we are out of comfort zones and exposed to new, unusual data, input and experience. And so be it, you are there. Threads of intention and desire weave fabrics of visionary hopes and dreams. Tap the deep wells of heart and soul as you explore, create, discover and manifest.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) Wildcat Uranus, the Great Awakener, plays a starring role in the celestial message of this week’s total lunar eclipse. Taking place in the Aries-Libra polarity – both fellow cardinal signs - Moonchildren are destined to see a kaleidoscopic spectrum of potential and possibility glisten and glow before them. The road of life beckons with change and choices. Balance equations and facts until your heart knows what to do.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) Courage, creativity and convictions are favored this week as generous, jovial, good luck planet Jupiter in Leo trines masculine Mars in Sagittarius, combining good will with heart and desire with right action. In other words, the stars are aligned in your favor. These days are days when you can make significant progress in whatever direction you choose to go. Balance, honesty, equality and inner peace are allies.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) You may feel a bit overwhelmed with the great good fortune you have recently been blessed with. Good news is that it all has to do with what you have done and what you are doing. Life is an equation and all actions generate consequences, it is a physical law. We are returned what we have given. Energy exchanges, including money, occur every second of every day. Keep the goodness flowing and love the ride.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) Welcome to one of the most powerful weeks of your celestial year. On Oct. 8th the Libra Sun opposes the Aries Moon in a total Full Moon lunar eclipse, illuminating all matters of heart and soul. Potential for life-changing revelations and shifts in consciousness surround you now as opportunities to complete major life cycles and lessons abounds. Tap inherent desires for serenity, tranquility and equanimity. Focus on inner peace.
Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) You may feel slightly out-of-synch this week as planets align in the celestial aspect of a total full Moon lunar eclipse. Make sure you get plenty of rest and take good care of yourself – physically, mentally, emotionally. Too much work or too much party simply won’t give you the results you need now. In the meantime, tap into the miraculous world of spirit and test out the magic of meditation and prayer.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) Get-up-and-go Mars in your sign continues to charge the air and ethers around you with motivation and desire. Are you channeling and directing its magical, masculine power in ways that affect you, others and the world in beneficial, benevolent ways? Take a look at the conditions and circumstances of your life and relationships. How can you improve them? It’s up to you, and the time is now. Go for the good!
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) Venus, the mythic goddess of love and beauty, forms a tight square to provocative Pluto in your sign as the Sun and Moon oppose each other in one of the year’s most powerful lunations. This translates as a week of great choice and challenge, a time when you will actually feel the force and power of the cosmos. Tap into your natural feminine, invoke the goddess within and let the love flow. Beauty and grace, let it be so.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Radical revolutionary Uranus, your modern planetary ruler, opposes the Sun and conjuncts the Moon shortly before the advent of the Oct. 8th total lunar eclipse, adding import to impact in a week of great activity and accomplishment. Prepare yourself for a battery of sudden choices and decisions, as factors and conditions change and transform. In the face of chaos, remain calm and rise to the occasion.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) You may feel like the observer, audience or advisor rather that the advocate, actor or player this week as a total lunar eclipse opens the cosmic door on a variety of positions and possibilities involving others. Good news is that you are calmly prepared to support and assist in whatever comes your way. Compassion and healing are themes, and you are blessed with the gifts that help and heal.

Hello to Autumn & Awesome Indian Summer...
The first full week of autumn is upon us. Hello to awesome Indian Summer!
I love this time of year. The pulling, poignant beauty of the season hits me deep - heart and soul. I know the warm-hot days will morph into cold-crisp mornings and chilling nights. Frost on the pumpkins and ice on the ponds will replace brilliant zinnias, ripe tomatoes and happy sunflowers. Seeds will ripen and leaves will fall…after their magnificent, transformational displays of yellows, golds and crimson.
I feel lucky and blessed to be living here in southwest Colorado, and the country lifestyle makes me smile. Here we trade metropolitan convenience for peace and tranquility, city glitz for natural glory and cultural stimulus for down-home, simple pleasures. Not a lot to spend our money on – but, of course, we have the Internet! – and there are always road trips!
This week I’m busy with the full-on duties of harvest. Cutting, curing, canning, roasting, drying, freezing and of course, eating! Hope to find time this weekend for a ride over Red Mountain or Lizard Head Pass. I hear the colors are outrageous.
Peace and blessings, golden glory, happy mornings and luscious nights. Enjoy the magic.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr. 19) No doubt relationships have been front and foremost in your mind and heart lately. And this week, you may find it to be even more poignant and important. With Uranus, the Great Awakener, still shocking you into awareness about personal self, patterns and behaviors, you may find yourself suddenly changed. Venus moving into Libra favors sweetness, peace and love over anger and upset. Be calm, seek harmony.
Taurus (Apr. 19-May 20) The Libra zodiac month encourages all efforts of self-improvement and self-betterment for the Bull. And for some reason, you find yourself more than willing to do the work. Lucky, lucky. Those who discover and practice the principles and programs of good health and spiritual wellness are rewarded with rich lives and happy hearts. Communication with partners improves as you listen.
Gemini (May 20-June 20) Autumn is a truly inspirational time of year for you. Changing landscapes, blazing colors and magnificent skies transport you to lands of romantic awareness and deep-heart feelings. It’s as if the natural world is calling your name, beckoning engagement. Relax and breathe deep. Enjoy the magical gift we call life. Mercury in Scorpio calls you to look beneath surfaces and behind facades. Embrace the mystery.
Cancer (June 20-July 22) Mental Mercury moves from Libra into Scorpio this week, and Venus enters Libra. Relationship issues continue as the paramount focus, with family and friends topping the list. Thoughts turn to romance however as nights chill and the days of Indian Summer awaken desire. Smile and embrace the joy of life. You are here to live and love, accepting responsibility for yourself and your part in it all. Enjoy the joy.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 22) Jovial giant Jupiter moves into the second decante of your sign this week, beginning the middle phase of your year to the top. Multi-dimensional opportunities surround you, which ones to choose? The age-old, timeworn choices work best - go for the good. Make sure you are doing the next right thing and you will not be led astray. Keep your eyes on the starry prize, but keep your feet planted on sweet, stable terra firma.
Virgo (Aug. 22-Sep. 22) Congratulations on a successful birthday month and important, new life beginning. As seasons turn, so also does the wheel of fortune. Following come-and-go periods of self-doubt, denial and fear, you are now more firmly planted in the rich soil of good thinking and right action. Integrity, sobriety and responsibility are golden keys to a happy, healthy life. And you are there. Open the doors to joy and embrace it.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 22) Candles are lit and cakes are cut as the first week of your birthday month evolves. Congratulations on another revolution around the Sun! Life is a miracle, and you are here on Earth - living it - one day and one moment at a time. Be sure to look and see the mystery and magic of the natural world surrounding you. Others find you unusually attractive these days. Just smile and let it be so - beautiful and blessed.
Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) As mental Mercury moves from light-hearted Libra into seductive Scorpio, thoughts turn to the deep and dark. Good news is that you are already a master of mystery, willing to explore secret places others fear to tread. That said, you might be called upon to solve, counsel or advise people, problems and situations that baffle or frighten others. Stay in the now, ask your angels and practice good spiritual health.
Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) Motivation continues to be rather high for you as fast-moving Mars uplifts and pushes you forward toward personal goals and desires. Incentives are everywhere and others are willing to provide you with plenty of what you need to keep the ball rolling. Travel may be an option or a necessity as you pursue your dreams. Just remember to check in with reality now and then on your journey through the stars.
Capricorn (Dec. 20-Jan. 19) With our solar system’s three outermost planets in retrograde motion – including Pluto in Capricorn - you may be poignantly aware of the long, long time it takes to make changes complete. Life is an evolutionary process of action and consequence, action and consequence. Some learn faster than others, and many learn but resist the application. Accept everything exactly as it is and just keep making it better.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Living and learning in the natural world is a magical, mystical process. So, lucky you! The great good fortune of self-direction and self-motivation is yours. You are also gifted with the vision of resource, the skill of organization and the wisdom of camaraderie. As you work hard, others see your example and are willing to do the same. Compassion is the golden key to wellness, body, mind and spirit.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Family and personal foundations have been important themes for you this summer. Now you may feel a subtle shift of attention and priority as seasonal changes stimulate awareness and perception of the ethereal and spiritual realms of human consciousness and experience. Also at work, matters of the heart. Love and romance, philanthropic giving and creative pursuits fill your days and hours. Shimmer and shine.
