Whatever a man soweth, that he shall also reap...
When I think about the odds of my birth – or the birth of anything or anyone – I know they are just about as good as winning last month’s $587,500,000 lottery. And yet, here I am. Living and breathing, thinking and feeling. Life is a miracle.
That said, and therefore accepting the miraculous gift of life, I often wonder about guardian angels and the numinous world of spirit. Are we protected and guided by those who have come and gone before? What happens to us when we die? Is it true that energy can only transform, that as our physical bodies stop working, the spirit remains? Does it simply dissipate into the ethers as interactive molecules of oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide in a process of diffusion or does consciousness somehow trump the random dissolution of what was once a lifetime experience of cause and effect, action and consequence?
One human Earthwalk - the perception and definition of reality, and the choices we make along the way - carves out a path of karma, a journey through the jungle of life. What we do and how we do it manifests our fate, our destiny. And from start to finish, we have the gift of choice, free will, the right to choose.
It’s easy to understand the Biblical dictum: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. We all know what happens when we plant seeds. Just like a mathematical equation, the quality of intention at the time of planting and the quantity of attention given during its gestation, growth and harvest equal our success or failure. Of course, there are always the X factors: accidents, tragedies, losses and natural disasters, but, ultimately, we reap what we sow.
Does our karma then live on in some sort of afterlife? Or, as in Eastern spiritual traditions, do we reincarnate to another physical life and pick up where we left off? Oral tradition, repetitive themes, fairy tales, cross-cultural archetypes and universal, common human experiences weave a fabric of consciousness that shrouds the planet with an invisible cloak of shimmering, glimmering light. Life and afterlife are beautiful, magical mysteries. The threads of human consciousness unite us all in an evolutionary journey through time, aka Eternity.
On Winter Solstice - Dec. 21, 2012 – a day of prophecy will dawn upon planet Earth. This week, we are all waiting and watching, bonded together in a bubble of human cosmic consciousness. We are being given the opportunity to seed the Universe with our most enlightened, joyful, spiritually generous, compassionate, good-hearted intentions, hopes and dreams. Let us count our blessings, walk in beauty, look for the angels and follow the signs. Embrace life - carpe diem - seize the day. Peace, love and joy.
Onward cosmic travelers...through the veil.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) This is one of the most important and impactful lunar months of your life. What you think, say and do will have rippling effects upon your reality for years to come. Therefore, be extra conscious, awake and aware. The radical changes of which you have been a part continue and amplify. Make the right choices, be honest and true, beautiful blue.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) As the Dec. 13th new Moon initiates the last lunar cycle of 2012, gather your forces and resources to take a giant leap of faith into what you know is good for you and others. Philanthropic desires fuel spiritual fires, so follow your heart. Helping others help themselves is where it’s at. Research programs and explore options. Share your goodness with the world.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) This new Moon, month and year mark a momentous turning point in our spiritual, emotional, physical and psychological evolution. As we end a 26,000-year precessional cycle and give birth to a shimmering new era, awaken to the awareness of an entirely different world. Polarity and duality morph into unity and divinity. Embrace the cosmos, go with the flow.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Forever and always sensitive to lunar cycles and movements, you may find this week’s powerful Sagittarius lunation one which stays with you for eons. It’s time to reach for the best within, discover the soul of service and give your special gifts to the world. Compassion, nurturing and care for yourself and others is a path of goodness. Stay on the path.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Just a few hours following the conjunction of the Sun and Moon in Sagittarius, planet Uranus ends its yearly retrograde phase and stations forward in fellow fire-sign Aries. This heralds a major point of departure and breakthrough for the Lion. Gather the best within and move forward with courage and heart. It’s a quantum leap of consciousness into the now.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) Being of service, improving the world and maintaining a daily spiritual practice are means to a virtuous, rewarding life of goodness and grace. And yet, how easy one can stray from the path. Today make a commitment to follow your heart and stick to your word, no matter what. Responsibility, accountability and credibility are allies. Just do your best.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) The fairies and flowers of a sparkling new era shimmer and shine behind the superficial façade of the material world. Look behind the greed and grief to find the magic of heart and travel upon its golden path. Whatever you do, wherever you go, carry the serenity of inner peace within you. Light the way for others by your calm, compassionate example. Yes.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) Fear and loathing have no place at this week’s cosmically illuminated magic table. A shimmering Sagittarius new Moon initiates a lunar month and year of hope, optimism and faith. Count your blessings and take the high road on your travels. It is all about bringing darkness to light and demons to death. Look for angels, carry the torch and follow your heart.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) Happy birthdays continue as a fresh lunar cycle in your sign bestows you with a golden crown of good luck, good will and good fortune. Others are willing and wanting to help, assist and guide you toward the manifestation of your dreams. The most important ingredients for success: knowing what you want and being willing and ready to commit.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) A silvery December new Moon delivers a fresh lunar cycle and a cosmically illuminated path to a sparkling new year. As the Winter Solstice 2012 End Times approach, prepare for a brave new world of evolving consciousness and spiritual light. Higher intelligence, innovation and liberation impel a giant leap forward. Embrace the times, join the party.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) As a bearer of higher knowledge and enlightened thinking, gather your forces, sources and resources and prepare to wage war upon ignorance, prejudice, violence and abuse. You know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad. Now, more than ever, you are being asked to rally the troops and carry the light. Be the change and lead by example.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) More than any other sign, you may be the one that feels the most and understands the many. Compassion is your ally and empathy is your companion. Now is perhaps the most important time to unleash them both upon the world. With so much suffering, there is also a great wealth joy. Nurture the goodness in yourself and others and experience the miracles of love.

Visible Planets: Morning: Mercury, Venus, Saturn Evening: Mars and Jupiter
The Moon, Venus, Guadalupe and the Woman of the Apocalypse
The waning Moon rises near dawn this week, each morning moving closer to the Sun. On Dec. 9th and 10th, expect to see a delicate lunar crescent hanging close to brilliant Venus in the predawn, deep-blue turquoise twilight. Then on Dec. 11th, watch as these two celestial goddesses – the archetypal nurturing Mother and magnificent, beautiful child - come together in an embracing planetary conjunction above the breaking light of dawn. Once again, a cause to pause and take in the awesome, stellar beauty of recurring planetary cycles in our ever-evolving Universe.
Nights are deep with darkness, it’s the time of the “Black Moon” and the end of 2012’s last eclipse cycle. Starry skies sparkle as the Milky Way maps the River of Souls across the heavens. The cosmic womb is open and waiting, a fertile field in which to plant our hopes and dreams.
I see the magnificent, magical synchronicity of these celestial events against the backdrop of the cosmos in this very poignant, powerful and potent week. On the evening of Dec. 11th, people all over Mexico and the Americas celebrate the appearance of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe – Our Lady of Guadalupe - at Tepeyac Hill on Dec. 12, 1531. It’s an evening of dancing, feasting, luminarias, fireworks, reverence and prayer for the Great Mother, Santa Maria, the Mother of God, la Virgencita, the Mother of the Americas, the Mother Earth, the Mother of Us All. As the Moon and Venus come together in the heavens, so do mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, children old and young - all over America and the world - embrace in love, laughter, compassion and joy.
And this year, el dia de Guadalupe takes place on a date of prophetic numerical symmetry – 12.12.12. – much like 12.21.12 - Winter Solstice 2012 - the prophesized end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar, and for some more dramatic types, “the end of the World.” Many call Guadalupe the Woman of the Apocalypse[1] and look to her for guidance, protection, succor, salvation, strength and courage in these rather “apocalyptic” times.
For me, it’s all about trust and a giant leap of faith, dance and prayer in celebration of the Mother - yours, mine, the Mothers of us all, everyone has a Mother - however one sees, feels, knows and needs her - and the maternal gifts of life, liberty, love, peace, gratitude and grace. Guad bless…
[1] From the New American Bible, the Book of Revelation
11:19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and…there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a violent hailstorm. 12:1 A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars…
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) The last quarter Moon wraps up a rather intense lunar cycle this week, encouraging deep travel in to the inner workings of soul and psyche. What lies beneath the physical manifestations of our behaviors? Are you hiding or disguising the truth? Working with therapists and spiritual advisors help unearth the buried treasure of health and healing. Try it.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) Partners and partnership issues continue to dominate the scene as lunar light wanes and personal planets dance in your solar 7th house of primary relationships. Maintain inner peace and equanimity when you interact with others, focusing on your part rather than theirs. Philanthropic motivation has you giving from the heart. It’s all good.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) Messenger, magician and trickster planet Mercury moves into Sagittarius this week to join the Sun in your solar 7th house of longterm relationships, putting you in touch with others via both physical and virtual worlds. Whether it’s a greeting card, phone call, visit or email, communicate with and touch the ones you love. Happy holidays!
Cancer (June 21-July 22) The romantic nostalgia of the holiday season evokes feelings of love and hope. Memories and emotions flow freely as mental Mercury and loving Venus move through your solar 5th house of the heart. Busy with holiday preparations, find time to bless the simple joys of home and hearth. Share time with people you like, get out and see the lights.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Homelife is the best life now. A crackling fire, a comfy couch and a little Christmas cheer generate feelings of gratitude and grace. Amidst the holiday hustle and bustle, carve out some quiet nights and quality time with those you love. Inner peace is the key to happiness and giving from the heart is most precious. Have fun, touch the spirit and feel the joy.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) As early December winds its way toward Christmas, pace yourself and your spending. Recognize your own self-worth and the deep meaning and true value of heartfelt giving. Time and attention are the most precious gifts you can give. Make your home a place of beauty and grace via cleanliness and godliness. Love is sweet, share it and feel it.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) Mercury and Venus in your solar 2nd house of self-creative talents and resources may have you crafting gifts, making cards or beautifying your home in the spirit of Christmas. Peace and harmony are your allies this holiday season. Be the calming influence that helps others experience the joy of universal love. Sweet and kind, you are beautiful and blessed.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) You may find yourself busy, busy and running in an effort to “get ‘er done.” Rather than stress, enjoy the hustle-bustle energy of the holiday season. Slow down. Joy, love and beauty surround you; take a look and see it. Shimmering lights, happy faces and festive decorations abound. It’s really all about love and peace. Be the change and live the magic.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) As your birthday month continues, candles flicker and cakes are cut. Sharing your nativity with holiday festivities is a combination of good luck and cosmic timing. Tap into your own inherent motivation to explore spirit and give from the heart. Take the high road on your travels through December. Carry the light and illuminate the path.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) As motivator Mars continues marching through your sign, tap in to the high spirit of self-fueled, right action. Waning moonlight favors a path of heartfelt giving. Follow the road less traveled through mystical lands of soul and spirit. Tap into the mystical, divine, angelic forces of the universe by listening, seeing and feeling. Good luck on your journey.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Good things come via professional or social interactions. You may reap the benefits of financial reward for years of work, commitment and responsibility as deal close and payments are made. Patience is a virtue and perseverance furthers. You have both and now experience the benefits. Compassion and forgiveness are allies in moving forward. Go forth.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) The Sagittarius sun time is one of goal achievement and recognition for the Fish. Sewing, crafting and gift-making elucidate creative, artistic skills and award you with self-satisfaction. It feels good to be productive. Friends help motivate you to get out and about, socialize and share the holiday spirit. Intimate nights are sweet, indulge in love!

Visible Planets: Morning: Venus and Jupiter Evening: Mercury and Mars
Shooting for the Moon conjunct Jupiter Moon
Last night the Moon was a big, bright, happy, smiley-face – joyous and jubilant above the wide-open landscape of the wild West End. And right next to the Moon, giant Jupiter - planet of hope, faith and abundance – bright and buoyant, a companion and comrade to the Moon. I couldn’t help but feel the Moon was delighted, laughing and in a very good mood.
Jovial Jupiter is always a welcome partner on any journey, whether it be across the night sky or during a major life transit. The inherent good luck, good fortune, good will influence of this magnanimous planet has been questioned, observed and studied for eons.
Astrologers call it the “greater benefic” and associate its 12-year recurring cycle around the Sun to individual cycles of expansion, exploration and growth; periods of time when one feels confident, curious and willing to "shoot for the Moon" - taking those giant leaps of faith that lead us into unknown territory and new, exciting lands of discovery. Also last night, all over the United States, people were buying last minute lottery tickets – the Powerball jackpot had hit $550 million!!! – in hopes of winning the largest amount in lottery history. Jovial Jupiter is always a welcome partner on any journey, whether it be across the night sky or during a major life transit. The inherent good luck, good fortune, good will influence of this magnanimous planet has been questioned, observed and studied for eons.
Everyone gambling – ruled by Jupiter – in a game with almost impossible odds of winning, but still willing and optimistic – also Jupiter. The good news for all is that somebody wins - and you can’t win if you don’t play – and just knowing that fact somehow makes it all good. And as fate would have it, the Moon was in game-loving Gemini [ruled by Mercury, antiquity's fun-loving pal to Jupiter] opposite the Sun in risk-taking Sagittarius [ruled by Jupiter], next to the red giant 1st magnitude star Aldebaran in the constellation of Venus-ruled Taurus the Bull. And Taurus is, of course, all about money and the things that money can buy.
This morning we found out that two – not one, but two twin [Gemini] – lottery tickets had won the big prize and would be splitting the purse. Two tickets with the same winning numbers! Big, big, lucky, lucky, funny, funny, happy, happy. The Moon and Jupiter, with a little Mercury and Venus thrown in, $$$$$$$!!!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) You have come full circle. The life and times of Aries is one of great travels, exploration and experience. Who knew that you would ever be so bold, so brave, so cavalier? Today you are awake and aware, living life on life’s terms, whether you like it or not. Accepting everything in this moment, exactly as it is, as it should be. Thy will, not mine, be done.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) You may feel a sense of culmination or resolution as the Scorpio eclipse cycle comes to fruition. The mud has settled and the water is clear. Relationship communication and illumination is favored as you address issues of honesty, integrity and trust. Work together to expose what is hiding beneath the surface or superficial facade. Focus on solutions.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) As the Gemini full Moon lunar eclipse brings light to unconscious desires and fears, as well as hidden aspects of the self and ego, you may see the magnificent truth and courage of the soul and spirit. Working programs of personal self-improvement is a theme as you recognize the awesome power of choice. As the evolutionary pace quickens, focus on inner peace.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Motivator Mars in Capricorn stimulates movement and accelerates action and interactions in relationships. Others may suddenly rush in or push you toward commitments that can feel too fast or too soon. New directions and new experiences are favored, but moving too quickly is not. Take time to examine the territory as you travel the road together.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) With several planets in seductive Scorpio, and fresh off a Gemini/Sag lunar eclipse, you may be feeling extremely home-based and heart-centered when it comes to the now-happening holiday season. As always, generosity of spirit is a theme. It’s a time to feel the love and share the bounty. Focus on camaraderie, connect with friends and enjoy the joy.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) As the Sun transits Sagittarius, your solar 4th house of home and family, clean house inside and out. Nothing can make you feel better. Then decorate and beautify your environment. You enjoy the hustle and bustle of the season, so get out and explore your world. Make calls, contact siblings, wheel and deal through stores, holiday events and festivities.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) The increasing awareness of unconscious desires and subconscious fears continues to open doors to the deep workings of soul and spirit. Check motives and uncover the ultimate power of intention. With several planets transiting Scorpio, your solar 2nd house of personal values, examine material and physical wellness. Focus on balance and healthy choices.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) As your birthday year continues to unfold, get in synch with the Universe and go with the cosmic flow. Rather than fight the tide or attempt to control the weather, ride the waves and run with the wolves. The wilderness spirit is a keystone to true freedom and self-authenticity. Touch Mother Nature and ignite the divine spark within. Set yourself free.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) Candles and cakes, holiday fare and festivities perennially mark your birthday month. Rather than resist the movement, go with the mo. Your inherent optimism, enthusiasm and confidence is catchy; others love your smile and revel in your happy glow. Banish doubt and cultivate faith as you lead the pack by example. Be the change you want the world to be.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) Motion-happy Mars in your sign may have you running, racing or rushing, so consciously make the choice to slow down and embrace the meaning behind the madness. There is plenty to do, and a variety of events to attend. Look at your calendar and realistically organize time, resources and energy. Management is your forte. And ask the angels to light the way.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Home life is the best life and you happen to be blessed with beauty and bounty this year. Thank the angels, count your blessings and give from the heart. Acceptance, forgiveness and compassion are allies now. No one wants to hear how great, rich or successful you are – they can see it for themselves. Refrain from boasting, focus on gratitude and cultivate humility.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Gratitude cultivates a state of grace and grace is the most beautiful experience there is. Tapping in to the divine source, showing up for others with a smile and happy heart is the best you can do. Open your home to family and friends, get out and see the lights, shop minimally and create in maximum. Love comes easily, gives presents through presence.

Visible Planets: Morning: Venus and Jupiter Evening: Mercury and Mars
Happy Thanksgiving!
The Sagittarius zodiac month is all about gratitude, taking a look around our lives and finding the multitude of blessings surrounding us. This week I’m indulging myself in that process, observing and and exploring the magnificence of this beautiful corner of the world. Indian Summer, Native American prophecies, stunning sunsets, hearts filled with hope and moments of grace. How lucky, how fortunate, how amazing to be on this life-giving, nurturing planet Earth, on this day, in this time.
Blessings, peace, love, joy and wishes for and an abundant, happy, healthy life, illuminated by the light of spirit and guided by the wisdom of the cosmos. May the Force be with you.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) Thanksgiving marks the first day of Sagittarius, fire-sign philosopher, enthusiast and philanthropist. Once again, gratitude is your guarantee to success. As Uranus retrogrades through Aries, continue to focus on self-awakening and change. This year has been a powerful turning point in your physical and spiritual evolution. Ride the river and go with the flow.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) Several planets in seductive Scorpio – your solar 7th house of long-term relationships and commitments – guarantee action and interaction with others. Thanksgiving tables and social events promise food for body, mind and spirit. Holiday festivities favor camaraderie and compassion. Enjoy the bounty and focus on what you like rather than what you don’t.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) Another powerful week presents itself as energy builds in the fruition of the Gemini full Moon/lunar eclipse. This is a fabulous time to cultivate routines of self-awakened self-improvement via daily practice. Make a list of simple things to do, like take a walk or make your bed – things that are good for body, mind and spirit. Then see to it that you do it – every day!
Cancer (June 21-July 22) The Nov. 28th lunar eclipse guarantees enlightenment regarding your personal spiritual health and wealth. Thanksgiving offers up food and fanfare, friends and family. There are plenty of opportunities to indulge. Take note of your thoughts, emotions and feelings as you interact with others. Pay attention to what your heart says and follow its wisdom.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) The Sagittarius sun-time is a tonic of hope and optimism for the Lion. Generosity and grandeur, big ideas and great visions characterize the initiatory energy of the holiday season. Smile and be happy, laugh and share the bounty as you identify the most personal, emotional pieces of your soul and spirit. Change begins within. Get to know who lives inside.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) Traveling may be a big piece of the Thanksgiving pie as planetary emphasis in your solar 3rd house of trips and transitions puts you on the road and in the driver’s seat. Whatever the manifestation, take your time and see the sights along the way. Haste makes waste and speeding actually slows you down. Once you get there, count your blessings and enjoy the joy.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) With serious, master teacher Saturn now transiting neighboring Scorpio, take a deep breath and count your blessings – you have survived! Your prune-the-bush process continues, however, and has actually just begun. Accepting life on life’s terms, embracing reality and cultivating self-discipline in the process of personal life restructure feels good. Enjoy!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) Although your birthday month has officially ended, your birthday year has just begun. Awakening and awareness are major players on team, providing the necessary angles and attitudes to see the road, negotiate the turns and drive the vehicle. Saturn now in Scorpio delivers a sea change of sober, realistic thinking and acting. Embrace the change.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) Happy birthday month to the Archer. Thanksgiving exemplifies the energy of this optimistic, philanthropic sign by opening the holiday season with grandeur and largesse. This year, however, you may be feeling a bit less grandiose and more serious as timekeeper Saturn plants seeds of ambition in the subconscious. Relax and enjoy, all is as it should be.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) Motivator Mars has just moved into Capricorn, starting engines and fueling action. Take a deep breath, check your oil and count your blessings. The powerful and ongoing personal transformation and metamorphosis from one personal reality to another takes patience and time. Acceptance is your ally. Check motives, identify desires and set intentions.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Abundance and grace come knocking and this week is the perfect time to welcome them into your heart and home. As one who identifies and fixes, invents and excites, take a good look at what’s right with the world rather than what’s wrong. Serious career change is on the horizon as you restructure the size and shape of purposeful success. Focus on the present.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) With ruler Neptune long retrograde and recently direct in the earliest degrees of Pisces, you may have felt stationed in some sort of numinous ether or out-of-this world reality. The good news is the influence is great for projects and pastimes that require imagination and creativity. As the planets realign, get down to business and manifest your dreams. It's time to work.

Visible Planets: Morning: Venus, Jupiter and Saturn Evening: Mars
Recollection, Redemption and Rebirth
Here we are, right smack in the middle of an eclipse week, and that good ol’ eclipse window is just about as wide open as it gets.
I am sitting here in front of my computer, wondering what to write. The day is glorious; clear, brilliant blue sky, no wind. The not-so-far-distant, navy-blue snow-capped peaks look like a glittering crown above the buff-colored, golden blonde fields and pinon green forests below.
This morning I awoke early and rose to a blue-black sky, twinkling with starry light. Dazzling Venus shimmered above the craggy eastern horizon. The world was sleeping and silent. The crack between the worlds, the gap between illumination and darkness, my personal place of recollection, redemption and rebirth.
I was, and continue to be, here on Earth, learning the ins and outs of being human, taking classes in the Earth School. I am studying the art of relationships, the joy of gratitude and the rewards of sincerity, serenity and sobriety. I am grateful and blessed, well aware of my tragic flaws, greatest challenges and most cherished dreams.
Mercury retrograded into Scorpio on the evening of the Nov. 13th Scorpio solar eclipse/new Moon, and will be passing through the sign’s late degrees this week. The Sun will also be transiting the last decant of Scorpio, while serious Saturn continues to inch its way through the sign’s early single digits - a rate of one degree per week.
All this translates as a lot of depth, plenty of emotion and challenges that can feel painful and yet empowering. It is all about facing fears, bringing doubt to light and awakening to the freedom of uncertainty. Unpredictable, wildcat Uranus is doing its best to liberate all of us as individuals from the bondage of self-generated darkness as it makes its way through courageous, action-oriented Aries. Of course, Pluto - the mythological Lord of Darkness – keeps dipping us into what feels like an externally generated, metaphorical Hell, preventing the liberation we seek. Ah, yes. Such is life during slow-moving outer planet transits, especially during those potent, powerful eclipse weeks!
Bottom line: Simply do the best you can. Be awake and aware. Remember to practice what you know and tap in to the invisible, angelic, cosmic realms of spirit. Do the next right thing. Dedicate a moment, an hour, 15 minutes, to silence. Listen. Relax. Reconnect, revitalize and regenerate. And in the meantime, follow the stars via love, light and spirit. Vayan con la diosa!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) Fresh off the Scorpio new Moon and right on to Thanksgiving, it is time to practice the attitude of gratitude and the art of compassion. For the Ram, action is a tonic and often the chosen solution, preventing deep tissue inner work. With Mercury retrograde in cathartic Scorpio, slow the pace, listen to your heart and focus on self-love and emotional self-healing.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) The recent solar eclipse in your solar 7th house of commitments and significant others has paved the way for deeper, more meaningful pairing and sharing. You are ready to do what it takes to save and improve your relationships, or let them go. You and your partners must be willing to walk through the door, illuminate darkness and actually do the work.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) You may find yourself in deep psychological therapy or delving into the mysterious realms of soul and psyche. Whatever the manifestation, you are not satisfied with superficial facades and phony baloney. Focus your attention on intention. What do you truly desire? Silence, solitude and serenity are allies. Prepare for Thanksgiving via meditation and prayer.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Food and feasting, traditional Thanksgiving fare and festivities invoke the holiday spirit of heart and home. Express your inherent creative talents via artistic and culinary activities and events. Sharing projects with children and loved ones generates a sense of togetherness, grace and gratitude. Be of service, take the high road and enjoy the joy.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Flames of love illuminate your path as you walk in beauty and prepare for a season of joy via service, right action and gratitude. The biggest challenges lie within, it is all about purging the demons and bringing darkness to light. Take a good long look at how to accept responsibility for your life and relationships, clean house and go forth with grace.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) Motivational Mars enters your solar 5th house of romance and creativity and gives you the bump to pursue what looks and feels like fun. With the holidays fast approaching, you may discover great pleasure designing, inventing and preparing for this year’s seasonal festivities. Make lists, research recipes and gather resources. Love is in the heart, feel the glow.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) Jovial, generous Jupiter in your solar 9th house of spiritual pursuit and philanthropic action encourages all things Sagittarius: Open hearts, Thanksgiving feasts, positive attitudes and athletic events. You may feel and see the greater purpose of life and living, embracing it all in a dance of gratitude and grandeur. Here on Earth, be practical and realistic. Get ‘er done!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) The eclipse window has opened wide for the Scorpion. This is your year to shimmer with purpose and shine with responsibility. A powerful, new era has arrived and you are capable of rising to the highest peaks and greatest good for yourself and the world. Power allies are sobriety, serenity and surrender. Do your best and let the Universe take care of the rest.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) As you prepare for your upcoming birthday month, take time out for some silence and solitude. Running from here to there, multi-tasking and losing yourself in other people’s issues and concerns prevents you from taking care of the most important person on earth: you! Focus and daily practice are allies. Embrace them both in a dance of grace and gratitude.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) We become like the people and influences we surround ourselves by. We also inherit the philosophies of those with whom we spend the most time. While these philosophies become part of our subconscious mind, scientific research shows that we can reprogram our conditioning through meditation. Consider these facts and act accordingly.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) You may feel motivated to get out and see your friends, make contact with people who inspire you and open your heart to new social and professional possibilities. Something different and very real is taking place in your career sector this year, be willing to focus attention on making it work. In the meantime, prepare for the holidays. Practice gratitude.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) With planetary emphasis in Scorpio, your solar 9th house of spirit, you may find yourself seeking a more open-hearted, higher-mind understanding of life’s physical and emotional challenges. We live in a 3D material world, but energy is invisible and yet real. Finding a balance between realms is the Piscean lesson and triumph. Do the work, maintain the practice.

Moving Forward with Love, Light and Peace
It is a new day, a new era, a new age.
From the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius in the ‘60’s to the ‘90’s Carlos Santana song Era Nueva, to now - the November 2012 post election week – and the upcoming Mayan End Times date of Winter Solstice 2012, we have been and continue to experience the ongoing evolutionary metamorphosis of animal, plant and mineral life here on planet Earth.
For me, this transition can be seen in every reflecting surface and relationship of my life. Like a spinning disco ball, it is picking up and transmitting light, hope, dreams, possibilities, realities and illusions. It is both hypnotic and motivational. Like our ever-expanding Universe, the potential is endless, infinite and eternal.
I’m happy to see that we are continuing to move “forward” with the re-election of our current President Barack Obama. And other than long lines at the polls, the late “too close to call” count in Florida and the residual effects of Hurricane Sandy on the Eastern seaboard, a stationary retrograde Mercury in early Sagittarius did not prevent America from upholding a successful national election. It will be interesting to observe our country’s “progress” over the next four years. Elections and candidates elected under Mercury retrograde do well with the verbs containing the prefix “re”: review, revise and revision are just a few. Hopefully, we will see local and federal politicians make a concerted bi-partisan effort to regain cooperation and readdress the polarity stasis of ineffective, inefficient government. It is definitely time to fix what is no longer working in Congress; rebalance the Federal budget, address climate change, withdraw from foreign wars, work on immigration reform and on and on and on.
Perhaps the biggest news comes in the newly evolved American demographic: No candidate can win with just the “white” vote. The Native American, African American, Asian American and most numerous and rapidly rising Hispanic American vote resoundingly outnumbers the white Caucasian American vote. The American “melting pot” is truly a reality in this beautiful New Era, New Age and New Day. Vamanos adelante con amor, luz y paz. Let us move forward with love, light and peace.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) The Scorpio New Moon illuminates the shadow, individually and collectively, and you can see exactly what is buried, hidden and denied. Expose darkness to light and watch the demons of fear, self-doubt and insecurity disappear. Truth and honesty are allies on the road to real health and true happiness. Walk in beauty and do the next right thing.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) The Nov. 13th New Moon solar eclipse takes place in your solar 7th house of important others. This translates as one of the most opportune times for reassessing and repairing relationships. Whatever and whomever has upset, bothered or disgusted you, it’s really all about you. Identify the changes you can make and simply walk your talk and lead by example.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) Do you have the patience to let the mud settle until the water is clear? Lao Tzu’s ancient Taoist wisdom resonates this week as New Moon eclipse energy encourages emotional courage and spiritual strength regarding doubt, fear and deep desire. Jupiter retrograde in Gemini has you looking backwards through your life. Embrace the warrior; cultivate faith.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Solar eclipses are poignant and powerful for Moonchildren, as lunar and solar light unite in a duet of spiritual and emotional rebirth. This celestial event marks a major new beginning and turning point when it comes to your soul journey on Earth. Tap into the deepest part of your heart and feel the divine creative spark within. This is your purpose and destiny.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) You may awaken to a new sense of purpose regarding your home environment and domestic situation as ecliptic energy opens the door to a fresh phase of self-understanding and self-nurturing. Healing takes place in the heart and it may be time to let go of the things you cannot change and change the things you can, i.e. your own attitudes and actions.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) This week’s powerful solar eclipse signals a time of major endings and beginnings. For the Virgin, the focus takes place in areas of awareness, perception and communication. It’s as if your mind has put up a new antennae and tuned into a more realistic, productive, pro-active frequency than ever before. Stay on track and do the next right thing.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) With Venus in Libra and Saturn in early Scorpio you may experience the mystical power of paradox. Suffering gives birth to compassion. We must give to receive and failure often leads to success. The biggest challenge and greatest wisdom is in accepting total responsibility for yourself and your relationships. Understand the importance of your part and work with it.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) The Nov. 13th Scorpio New Moon solar eclipse reconfigures and reboots your inner hard drive, erases old programs, dumps the trash and makes room for up-to-the-moment, state-of-art software. As you take the first baby steps into Saturn in Scorpio, clean house inside and out. Reality is your friend and personal responsibility is your ally. Embrace the art of practice.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) At the heart of our Milky Way Galaxy lies a super-massive Black Hole, which absorbs and transmits enormous amounts of electromagnetic energy. With Mars now conjunct the galactic core in late Sag, you are in prime position to release old beliefs and presumptions, as well as remember your personal celestial origin and mission. Tap in and go forth.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) The Scorpio New Moon solar eclipse reminds us that we always have power, we always have a choice and we all have something important to offer. Bring your light to darkness and your love and wisdom to whatever situation is calling for healing and transformation. As a champion of social and righteous causes, carry the torch and lead by example.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Solar eclipses take place when the Moon aligns exactly with the Sun and temporarily blocks the constant stream of solar radiation to our Earth. This is like unplugging an electronic device to reboot it, and in this case, we are the human computers. In Scorpio, this translates as new programs in personal responsibility and social consciousness. Prepare to live the change.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Awaken to the unlimited potential and possibilities of our ever-expanding Universe as Neptune and Chiron end their 5-month retrograde phases in Pisces. This signals a readiness to take a few giant steps forward on the illuminated road of spirit. Pay close attention to feelings, heal old trauma and follow your heart. Live and let go, embrace gratitude and be free.

Visible Planets: Morning: Venus and Jupiter Evening: Mercury and Mars
Holy Maria, Madre de Dios.....Get out and VOTE!
Halloween, All Saints Day and All Souls Day - Dia de los Muertos - bring the western world a chance to stop the clock and check in with the timeless world of spirit.
We have watched the artful hand of Mother Nature mix emerald greens with brilliant gold and crimson, infusing landscapes with the kaleidoscope colors and textures of autumn; paint mountaintops snow-white and then slowly denude trees to skeletons of their former grandeur. Here and there a magnificent cloak of orange and peach lingers amongst the woody nakedness. Fallen leaves blanket forests and swirl on city sidewalks, fires are kindled and ravens gather for winter.
November is now upon us. Thanksgiving is fast approaching. Election Day is next Tuesday and Daylight Savings Time ends this coming Sunday. Darkness will come early, and we will suddenly take note of the dramatic change. Our entire nation is certain to be betwixt and between in the upcoming Presidential electoral process as difficult situations and challenging conditions manifest. As above, so below.
Several months ago I took a look at the planetary aspects of Election Day. The Uranus/Pluto square in Aries/Capricorn – which is a major player in the extreme polarities, power punches and plutocratic swings of these intense social, geo-political and economic times – has been and continues to be a demonic, dynamic fight between good and evil. Where and when does one draw the line? Is it even possible to do so? Planetary squares force confrontation, evoke conflict and demand change. It is like what happens when an uncontrollable force meets up with an immovable object. Wham! And yet, this is going on everywhere, in everybody, both individually and collectively, as a long term, rather upsetting, but ultimately liberating, transit. Let us just say, we are doing the best we can. And for the record, the Uranus/Pluto square continues on into 2015, so we might as well get used to it and come up with pro-active strategies that work.
That said, there is another equally disturbing planetary positioning taking place on Election Day: Mercury is stationary retrograde in Sagittarius on that day, going retrograde at 4:04 pm MST. The last time Mercury was retrograde on Election Day was November 7, 2000: Gore vs. Bush, hanging chads, postponed results, recount and the eventual Supreme Court decision on who was to be the 43rd President of the U.S.A. Enough said.
With all the devastation in New York, New Jersey and New England, the entire Eastern seaboard is in the balance. God, Jesus, Santa Maria de Guadalupe and Joseph help us. Y todos los santos, tambien. We need all the help we can get! Just make sure you get out and VOTE! Don’t let a stationary Mercury going retrograde on Election Day keep you down! Good luck and may the best man win.
p.s. I have already voted for Obama/Biden!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) A very dynamic week presents itself and with it comes a variety of thoughts, emotions and actions. Voluptuous Venus in aesthetically sensitive Libra opposes wildcat Uranus in impulsive Aries, forcing a balance of personal and divine will. If you find yourself close to losing it, take a time out. Breathe deep, focus on gratitude and cultivate faith.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) Your ruling planet, sweet Venus, plays an important role in this electoral week, first opposing unpredictable Uranus and then squaring power-hungry Pluto. It’s certain to be a close and rather excruciating time of ups and downs, when the world seems crazy and you’re not sure what’s going on. Hang in there with your customary calm and lead others by example.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) Mercury, ruler of transportation, communication and thought, makes a station and goes retrograde on Election Day. Bad news. The last time this happened was in 2000, when we all learned about “hanging chads.” Be sure to get out and vote, do what you can to make it count. The world hangs in the balance and energy is catchy. Be the best you can be.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) All Saints Day reminds us that there have been countless martyrs and mystics through the ages, people who have suffered and sacrificed for spiritual reasons and causes. As one who understands the power of emotion and the need for nurturing, do your absolute best when it comes to helping and healing personal, social and global pain. Be there to care.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Wild and wacky ups and downs, challenges and changes come this week via social and political drama. Do your best to pass the test when it comes to keeping your cool amidst the chaos and confusion. Mercury retrograde on Election Day may impede progress at the polls; persevere when it comes to getting there. Think positive, and be pro-active.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) Guardian angels protect and guide you, in spite of obstacles and obstructions. Look for omens and follow the signs. Pay attention to synchronicity and coincidence. There are deeper, profound teachings along your path of life. Practice acceptance and recognize that a change in your own behavior causes changes in the behavior of others.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) The Scorpio zodiac month favors the acceptance of personal responsibility in each and every aspect of your life. If you are unhappy with someone else’s behavior, change your own. If you don’t like a situation or circumstance, identify what you can do to make it better or simply walk away. There is plenty of job security at home. Do the work.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) As you celebrate another revolution around the Sun, take a good, long look at how you arrived at where you are today. Giving thanks to both the visible and invisible, physical and spiritual realms aligns you with the mystical, mysterious process of true evolutionary experience and growth. Get in synch with the universe via daily practice and live the magic of miracles.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) As you move ever closer to your birthday month, practice living in the ever-present now. Awaken to the moment and the miracle of life. Your Earth journey is one of great meaning and purpose. Understand the power of example and be the change you want to see in others and the world. We can only expect to get what we give. Give it your best.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) Love and money planet Venus, revolutionary Uranus and power-obsessed Pluto are at it again in cardinal signs, paving the way for push-and-pull moments, events and experiences. Your ongoing metamorphosis continues as you feel the depth of social, political and global change in relation to your personal life here on Earth. Be aware and practice self-care.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Ruler Uranus in opposition to relationship-loving Venus encourages a combination of self-reliance and sharing where others are concerned. Take action in areas of personal competence and give partners and co-workers the opportunity to excel in their areas of expertise. Balance and enlightened awareness are keys to success. Be sweet, calm and pro-active.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Mercury is stationary retrograde on Election Day and astrologers worldwide are saying, “oh, no!” Hopefully, we make it through the day without major setbacks or problems. We shall see. In the Pisces world, this translates as a trip back to the future, a time when you recalibrate your personal and professional hopes and dreams. Take your time.

Visible Planets: Morning: Venus and Jupiter Evening: Mercury, Mars and Saturn
Witches, Winds and the Oct. 29th Full Hunters Moon
Halloween. Witches, ghosts and goblins. Things that go bump in the night. Wicked winds and swirling leaves. The crack between the worlds, the thin veil between the physical and ethereal, the mystical realms of soul and spirit, all possibilities of life on the “other side.”
I have always been attracted to the numinous and divine. What fuels our hearts, besides blood and oxygen? What is that mysterious feeling that can unexpectedly, suddenly fill our hearts with hope, inspiration or passion? Is it love? God? How about deep feelings of gratitude, appreciation, humility and grace? What moves us to create? Or that bonding, physically transcendent feeling when we see a brilliant meteor flame out against the starry canopy of the night sky, experience a magnificently beautiful sunset or happen to catch a perfect wave in the aqua-blue waters of the Mexican ocean?
I am moved by nature, the wild and the free. We are primordial beings, connected to the roots of organic life here on Earth, and before Earth, our more cosmic origins. We are, essentially, the stars. Today I walk on pavement and concrete as well as the earthen paths of fields and forests. I use cell phones and computers, surf the Internet and watch satellite television on a 55” flat screen HD TV. I get up early to see Venus dazzle the predawn sky and cultivate a daily practice of periodic silence and meditation. I chart the movements of the planets and constellations, read when I can and write as often as possible. I feel the gap between the worlds, the cracks and the veils of actual, virtual and metaphysical worlds. I am human and non-human, physical and spiritual. I am here and I am there; approaching All Hallows Eve, All Saints Day and All Souls Day in our multi-faceted, multi-versed cosmos, the end and the beginning, the alpha and Omega. Nothing and everything...One.
Join me on this mystical, magical journey through space and time. Get out your magic wands, crystals, crosses, brooms and broomsticks. Look for omens, set out treats, cast spells and invoke spirits. And, of course, watch out for witches flying across the full Hunter’s Moon of Oct. 29th. Or, better yet, meet me there!
Happy Halloween and may the spirits of beauty, love, hope, joy, peace and laughter be with you!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) The Taurus/Scorpio polarity of this week’s full “Hunter’s” Moon shines light upon your most basic, core values in relation to each and every relationship in your life. Money and resources are themes, as well as the deep psychological roots of intimacy, security and sustenance. The bottom line is good self-worth and self-esteem. Simply do your best!
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) Big day, big week, big year! 2012 carried generous, jovial Jupiter through Taurus, with all the bells and whistles. Expansion, exploration and discovery were themes. Doors opened and you walked through. Personal growth was a predominant theme. Now that you have found more than one new interest, continue to explore and expand. Enjoy the possibilities.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) Scorpio forces us to confront our fears and addictions, and release what we have outgrown – stifling jobs, relationships, behaviors, lifestyles – whatever is oppressive and unsustainable. This week, you may find that you are more than willing to let go, but the powers that be have you stuck. Acceptance is the golden key here. Turn it over and focus on you.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) The Taurus/Scorpio full Moon highlights where we need to transform our personal relationships, and super-highlights our personal responsibility in doing so. Serious Saturn’s grand trine to Ceres in Cancer and Neptune and Chiron in Pisces summons forth the intuitive, nurturing, compassionate power of the feminine to show the way. Follow the light.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Master teacher Saturn conjuncts the Sun in Scorpio and opposes the waxing Moon in a declaration of personal reckoning, reconciliation and restitution. Honor your personal responsibilities and interdependence regarding others. Own your own power and think out of the box as you acknowledge the importance of cooperation and joy of intimacy.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) The Taurus/Scorpio full Moon lunation each year is a fruitful time of hope and optimism for the Virgin. You can see and ultimately understand the higher purpose of your tests, trial and tribulations in life, no matter how hard or long you have had to work or endure. Gratitude is the golden key to happiness and this is the week to practice feeling it. Good luck!
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) Voluptuous Venus in Libra opposes disruptive, exciting Uranus in self-aware Aries and squares deep-tissue Pluto in authoritative Capricorn as the Moon grows full. This generates a potent cardinal T-square and dynamic grand cross which emphasizes the need for cooperation, ingenuity and integrity. Be sweet, but maintain your course. Be good.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) Happy birthdays continue as the Moon grows full. Count the candles and cut the cake, but as you do, remember to thank and bless those who have come with and carried you through your toughest, most excruciating trials and times. As you know, life is a continual process of birth, death and rebirth. Embrace all as it is and know that all is as it should be.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) The global economic crisis began as Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008, galvanizing worldwide movements for financial reform, as well as the creation of alternative currencies and collaborative consumption. Today, we are in the thick of it, with its ongoing chaotic, creative results. It’s all about the big picture, which is your forte. See it and be it. You know how.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) We can try to run, be we can no longer hide from evolutionary forces of change. And this week’s full Moon shows exactly how far we have come and what we must deal with now. Bottom line: It’s all about respecting limits and transcending limitations. What is dead or dying in your life? What is crying to be born? Focus on core values and work in the light.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Ruler Uranus continues to play its trickster role in the world’s ongoing global social, economic, political and spiritual crisis. As one how thrives on change, and yet also loves stability, you are perfect for these wild and wacky times. Rise above the hovel and see the far distant horizons of unlimited possibilities and potential. Travel the path one day and one step at a time.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Going with the flow is natural for the flexible Fish, but sometimes it just feels outrageous. Accepting everything exactly as it is – exactly as it should be in this moment – can be a daunting task. Yet, it is one of gentle grace and enlightened wisdom. This week’s full Moon encourages the light behind the shadow and the treasure beneath the surface. Relax.

The Mysterious Libra/Scorpio Crack Between the Worlds
October is like the hour of twilight, when the brilliance of sunshine transitions into the darkness of night. It is a time of transformation, when shadows lengthen, colors fade and shapes shift.
Don Juan Matus, sorcerer and teacher in Carlos Castaneda’s shamanic journey of altered states, separate realities and multi-faceted dimensions, declared the magical time between day and night as “the crack between the worlds” – a time when spirits rise and pass through invisible doors, portals open and it is possible to sense, feel and cross into the ethereal, metaphysical realms of infinite possibility and eternal creativity.
And so it is. The October zodiac crack between light and lovely Libra, with its golden, crimson peach and luscious limes, gracefully surrenders to seductive Scorpio and the muted shades of auburn, rust and jade. Fallen leaves pave the forests with soft carpets of aspen and oak, majestic cottonwoods blaze river corridors orange and yellow as slate-blue peaks are cloaked with snow.
The awe and humility I feel in October is phenomenal. At times my heart bursts forth like a bouquet of radiant roses or flowers in kaleidoscopes of color. The cycles and seasons, the forever-constant change against the backdrop of the eternally evolving cosmos calls to something deep inside me. Could it be my elusive, enigmatic soul? Or is it just the amorphous human spirit, soaring with the wind and weather, flying in and all around me, unbounded and forever free? I wonder if others feel this intensity and depth, the power of life and death, the fragile and yet undeniably strong bond we have with the Mother Earth and Father Sky?
Once again, I feel the beauty, grace and peace of Libra giving way to the metaphysical magic and mystery of Scorpio. For all of us, this is a time to look behind the façade, dig beneath the surface and find the crack between the worlds. Good luck!
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) As the Sun moves from Libra to Scorpio, expect your relationships to deepen and intensify. Be extra careful with whom you share your confidences. People often divulge much more than necessary, especially when it comes to others. Good communication is more about listening than talking. Listen and practice being impeccable with your word.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) As you move from the first half of your solar year into the second, you may feel a bit more social and interactive than you have in months. Make contact or reconnect with those who are most important to you; people you respect, admire or would like to spend more time with. Also consider how you are showing up in your relationships. What goes around, comes around.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) As heartfelt, romantic Libra energy morphs into deeper, more pensive Scorpio, take a good look at how you feel about yourself, your health and your work. Where and how might you improve overall wellness? Good, genuinely nutritious food, fresh air, exercise, periods of silence and a daily spiritual practice is what you need now. Simply do your best.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Light and lovely Libra gives way to steamy, seductive Scorpio this week and turns the corner toward romantic intrigue and magnetic attraction. Creative juices are flowing, and you may feel somewhat awakened and aroused. Utilize this rather artistic energy as fuel for creation; identify your deep desires and work toward their manifestation. Good luck!
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Dynamic and courageous energy surrounds the Lion as falling leaves swirl in a dance of seasonal surrender and transformation. Brilliant colors give way to snow-capped peaks and skeletal forests. You feel the power of heartfelt passion and the desire to live fully. Embrace the precious gift of personal truth, do the inner work and awaken to the magic of spirit.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) You may find yourself busy, active and on-the-go as personal values compel you to work rather than play and walk rather than talk. Income, earnings and personal productivity are themes. Accept responsibility for your choices and focus on taking care of your own back yard rather than telling others how to take care of theirs. It’s all about you, show up.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) The last days of Libra sparkle with magic and mystery as autumn deepens and darkness lengthens. Another revolution around the Sun, another year upon the wheel, you have grown older and wiser. Embrace your life with grace and granduer, it is a miraculous journey of heart and faith. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, count your blessings.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) As you awaken to another revolution around the Sun, i.e. another birthday, consider who you are inside and out. Are you living a life aligned with personal truth and value? Have you lost touch with talent and virtue? Make sure to carve out a golden hour or two just for you. Be kind and gentle, breathe deep and listen to your heart.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) With motivational Mars now in the mid-Sagittarius, you may be feeling pushed and pulled to take action in pursuit of hopes, dreams and wishes. Passion and desire are allies now, follow your heart and see where it takes you. Truth and honesty are essential ingredients on the road to success. Be practical, but seek assistance from spirit. Ask your angels.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) Friends and allies give you great support and assistance now; ask and you shall receive. Our expanding universe is one of unlimited potential and possibility; what you conceive you can achieve. Knowing what you want is the first step to getting it. Breathe deep, practice silence and pay attention to dreams and intuition. Synchronicity leads the way.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Achievement and success come via daily work and productivity. Keep your nose clean and your word impeccable as you practice what you preach. Look to others you respect and admire for advice, modeling and ideas. You can get a great deal done now via self-discipline and clean living. Smile and count your blessings. It’s time to get ‘er done.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Autumn comes to the Fish in shades of gold and auburn, leaves fall and snowflakes flutter. Opening your heart to the world in all its grand diversity and constant change puts you in synch with the universal flow of life, death, birth and rebirth. Karma is a metaphysical example of cause and effect. You understand the math and know the equation. Explore.

Visible Planets: Morning:Venus and Jupiter Evening:Mercury and Mars
*The following is taken from the first Alacazem column of 2012. I reprint it now as a forerunner of thematic posts on the upcoming Galactic Conjunction on 12.21.12.
The Mystical, Magical Journey through the Forest of 2012*
As I take my first steps through the mystical forest of 2012, I cannot help but feel a certain type of calculated anticipation and inspired awe. Just being here - alive on planet Earth - at this particular point in time is somewhat of a miracle.
I cannot count the pages I have read or time I have spent researching indigenous teachings - including Mayan prophecies - and still, I am far from scholarly or enlightened here. As an astrologer, I often feel a responsibility and obligation to make some sort of statement regarding the highly promoted and prophesized year of 2012 and the Mayan End Time date of Winter Solstice. How many times have we collectively seen, heard and thought about this year and that particular day? Individually, what does it mean? What will happen on Dec. 21, 2012, when the solstice sun lines up with the Galactic Center? Will the earth flip on its axis? Will there be great cataclysm and apocalypse? Will extra-terrestrail beings make the journey down the galactic birth canal and descend upon planet Earth? Will it be the hour of the Great Ascension?
At times, I feel that it is all so much hype. And then, at other times, I know it is real - as real as anything or anybody. I cannot escape the fact that we humans fabricate a thinking, breathing, feeling collective body, where our thoughts and deeds manifest an energetic evolutionary force that effects change and manifests destiny. And yet, we are far from all-powerful. The cosmos, the phenomenal universe, planetoids and asteroids, Mother Earth, our Sun, the Moon, the Great Mystery - there are countless energies and entities more powerful than we. WE, we, we who define, rationalize, explain and exploit. We, who carve out and craft our realities, defend our gods and goddesses; pontificate scientific hypotheses and promote mystical, social, psychological and political worldviews. We, who fight for oil, fight for fear and oxymoronically claim to fight for peace. Unified in diversity, a species that comes in thousands of colors and millions of shapes and sizes, we humans are here on Earth in the millennial year 2012, waiting, watching and wondering - together.
I am well aware that this is a major and magnificent paradigm shift, a sweeping change in the collective consciousness, and it will take place - is taking place right now - whether we realize it consciously or not. What was, no longer is. What is, is. To live here - to be here now and vibrantly embrace these times - requires conscious living and conscious loving; we must recognize that everything we do and say has an immediate, resounding affect upon every part and particle of our world, universe and cosmos. We act upon it and it acts upon us, it is a processional - and also precessional - dance of immediate karma. We have reached the point in our evolution where knowledge - just knowing that our thoughts have an evolutionary affect upon our actual physical and spiritual evolution speeds up and amplifies the power of the effect. It is the Toltec smoking mirror of action, intention and reflection, where we are being called accountable for everything we have done so far and being called to think, live, act and breathe consciously in the forever present now. And perhaps most of all, the most important player in our drama, the Mother Earth. The Great Mother, the Mother of us all, is up front and center in the meaning and message of this millennial shift. May you immerse yourself in her warmth and be guided by her wisdom as you join me in our mystical journey through the magical forest of 2012. Blessings and peace, may we walk in beauty, humility and grace.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) Balance, partnership and peace. Libra’s evolutionary journey is to relate to all beings as equals. As the opposite sign to Libra, Aries is all about self. During this fortuitous time of human evolution, take a fearless and searching moral inventory of you. How are you showing up for others? Are you accepting responsibility for your part? Do your best, pass the test.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) As the sign co-ruled by Venus, Libra shares the beauty, grace and artistic sensibilities of Taurus. But as an air sign – instead of earth - its energetic essence is ethereal and mental rather than physical and material. The magic of both lies in creative endeavors and aesthetic pleasures. Tap in to the sweet life. Cultivate love, promote harmony and practice patience.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) For the last 5,000 years, most of the world has been under elitist, patriarchal rule. Today typical American Caucasian households have a net worth 14 times that of African-American or Hispanic households. This week’s Libra New Moon catalyzes the collective to recognize and resolve egregious imbalances and injustice. Awaken, address and get pro-active.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) New avenues open for the empowerment of women and the feminine aspects of both sexes as the Sun and Moon conjoin in Libra this week. Whether male or female, each human carries the X chromosome and must therefore be part woman. Helping others see and feel the softer, more nurturing parts of their hearts and souls is your forte. Go for it.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) This week’s Libra new Moon offers the world a chance to see itself in the reflection of the cosmos, and the individual to see him/herself reflected in the mirror of the collective. We are all part and parcel of a greater whole. We live in a holographic universe. We are all the same, equal and unique, together forever. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) Practice the golden rule and remember that you are equal and whole within yourself, an individual sharing time and space with other plant, animal and mineral life on Earth, as well as unknown entities and energies in space. This is a surefire path to gratitude, grace and humility, the Virgo/Libra path to the golden gift of inner peace. Embrace it all.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) The days prior to the Libra New Moon of Oct. 15th present you with the annual once-a-year opportunity to plant golden seeds of intention and desire in the fertile cosmic womb. Manifestation is a process of first knowing what you want. Feel your heart and find your passion, identify your hopes and dreams. Then seed the universe with your most precious wishes.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) Prayer and meditation, time alone or in communion with nature are ways in which to get in synch with the universe and its ever-flowing abundance. Angelic and invisible forces surround you now, be open and willing to accept guidance from signs, omens and messages. Look for the divine inside and outside as you go about your daily round. Enjoy the joy.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) Mars in the early degrees of your sign joins force with asteroid Juno as the Sun and Moon come together in Libra. This translates as a fortuitous time for pursing exactly what you want in your relationships. Be honest, true-to-heart and also diplomatic when it comes to others. Love may be found in professional arenas or out in society. Remain open, do your best.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) Career and achievement take center stage as the fresh Libra lunar cycle provides you with a clean slate for professional and social performance and recognition. Be especially considerate and cooperative when it comes to others. Negotiate deals, focus on diplomacy and listen to all sides of every issue before making choices or decisions. Hang in there, be fair.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) A rather high-minded, philosophic, even philanthropic energy filters through the cosmos and slowly opens your heart and mind to the multi-faceted, expanding possibilities of our world and universe. Whether it is global warming, vanishing species or the ever-present inequity and injustice in human societies, you are ready and willing to go forth. Go.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) New possibilities in your most intimate relationships present themselves as the Moon and Sun come together in your solar 8th house of deep emotion and intention. Subconscious desires rule your heart and head. Pay attention to dreams and intuitions as you enter a period of personal psychological renewal. Look behind the mask, unearth the hidden treasure.

Jupiter Rx, October Gold and a Flash from the Past
October! The month of falling leaves, golden forests and the glorious days of Indian Summer. I love October. After all, it’s the month I chose to enter this world and take my chances at life on planet Earth.
Last weekend the town of Telluride welcomed all those who chose to celebrate the now infamous decade of the ‘70’s - as it was then - in this geographically magnificent valley. A group of ex-hippies, ski area pioneers, artists, professionals, tradesman and others of all shapes, styles and sizes gathered together in bars, hotels, restaurants, private homes, in the park and on the street. The Sheridan Opera House hosted a tribute to Joe Zoline and the Elks Club gave stage to the Stronghouse Blues Band for a night of music and dance.
It was a flash from the past, a brief glimpse back to days gone by, when Telluride was a fledging ski resort, tourists were hard to come by and employment was at a premium. The now famous Film and Bluegrass Festivals were taking their first baby steps. It was a time of wonder and camaraderie, when everyone struggled to make a living, pay the bills and simply stay here. Houses were cold in winter and a crackling fire was heaven. Some of us were lucky to fall in love, get married – or not - and remain here through thick and thin. Others left and came back, left and came back again. Many have come and gone.
Today I am grateful and blessed. The road to Telluride is a journey of heart and soul. Thanks to everyone who worked to make this fabulous event a reality. And to all, thanks for the memories. Love, light and peace.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) Jupiter goes retrograde in mid-Gemini as both Saturn and Mercury enter Scorpio. This heralds a major shift and turning point in your physical, material reality as well as how you perceive it. Better get your mind and body in synch with what’s happening in the most basic sense. Don’t try to outsmart the weather or the change the rules. Work in harmony with what is.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) Long term relationships and binding, elective partnerships strengthen and tighten as serious Saturn enters your solar 7th house of commitment. Joint therapy, skilled communication and focused attention on matters involving others is highly favored now. Remain patient, listen and take responsibility for your part. Bottom line: Participate rather than dictate.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) Jovial, generous Jupiter has had a rather tumultuous time in doling out your just desserts during its normally happy, good luck, once every 12-year passage through your sign. With erratic Uranus and deep tissue Pluto dueling in issues of world power and individual freedom, you may have missed the treasure chest of jewels inside and out. Look and see.
Cancer (June 21-July22) October breaks with beauty and grace as the Moon wanes and autumn waxes. As nights grow colder and days grow shorter, prepare lists and prioritize tasks in a process of home improvement and self-aware self-care. It is time to prepare for winter; gather firewood and get yourself ready for all the love-based inner work that pays off with inner peace.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Jupiter has been opening good-luck, good-fortune doors in every gathering place and get-together you’ve been able to make yourself present. Whether it is athletic competitions or idealistic aspirations, your hopes and dreams are coming true. The only problems seem to be those that come by way of others. Focus on the good, stay positive and keep the faith.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) As you take those first baby steps into your annual solar new year, pay attention to your choices. Accepting responsibility for the quality of every situation and relationship in your life is the golden key to a happy and healthy life. If someone is mistreating you, remove yourself from their presence. If you don’t like your job, find another. You are the most important person in your life. Embrace personal power and be good to you.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) Birthdays bring cakes to eat and candles to light as Mother Nature delivers the magic of autumn in a blazing package of metamorphic color. Landscapes are changing, worlds are turning and lives are transforming. Count your blessings and do the very best you can to maintain balance and cultivate inner peace. Be sweet and kind; to thine own self be true.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) This is a big week for Scorpions as both mental messenger Mercury and serious, taskmaster Saturn enter your sign. Take note of what you think, hear, see and perceive. Information is coming to you via cosmic sources and it is an excellent time to clean the screen and tune in the antennae. Reality is knocking and it’s time to get real. Relax and prepare to receive.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) Ruler Jupiter goes retrograde in opposite Gemini this week and remains so until early 2013. This translates as a prolonged period for relationship review, re-work and re-do. You may find yourself returning to a prior romance or partnership, giving someone you love a second chance or simply re-committing to something you highly value. Go with the flow.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) The Libra zodiac month is one that favors goal definition, prioritization and, ultimately, achievement. Personal and professional responsibilities are highlighted in a dance of give and take, stop and go. Great personal exposes and transformations continue as you delve deeply into soul and psyche. This is an incredibly deep, rich well. Discover, find, feel and heal.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) An old romance may suddenly flare up or gently expose itself in a manner and light that is exciting and new. What once was, no longer is. You and others have changed and transformed. With time, experience and learning, wisdom generates inner peace and outer harmony. Chaos and drama no longer appeal. Follow your heart, and discover your bliss.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Home and family life is the best life, even if you are on the road. Jupiter now retrograde in Gemini may have you traveling for profession or pleasure, rediscovering old haunts and reliving old dreams. Inside, you are expanding and growing, directed by spirit and guided by nature. Breathe deep, count your blessings and keep your eyes on the road.

The Day I First Set Eyes on Telluride...
This weekend Telluride pays homage to Telluride life in the ’70′s with a “40 year Reunion” event that reminds those of us who’ve been here since then just how old we are. In writing the intro to my column this week, I decided to post an excerpt from my first article in the Telluride Magazine from years ago, as it takes me back to the day I first set eyes on Telluride…
The first time I saw the Telluride valley, it was shrouded in mist. A friend and I had just tried, and failed, to outrun an August cloudburst as we headed north from the ancient Anasazi ruins of Mesa Verde. The puffy white clouds of the morning had grown increasingly dark as the day progressed, and as we wound our way up Highway 145 we began to wonder if the blackening sky could mean a change in plans.
I could feel the moisture and electricity in the air. As the darkening sky gathered strength and power for rain, my heart was also swelling with emotion. Suddenly, the heavens were filled with lightning and thunder, followed by torrential rain. Instant streams came running off the canyon walls. I found myself wondering if we would make it to Telluride. As we neared the summit of the pass, the rain lessened slightly, allowing us to view the incredible scenery. The jagged mountain peaks and the contrasting greens of forest and meadow were like an impressionist’s painting when viewed through rain. Relaxing a bit, I took a deep breath and smiled at my companion. I felt as if we had made it through the worst. Then a bolt of lightning struck the pinnacle of
Lizard Head Peak, shooting white light down the shaft and crackling electricity along the skyline. The booming thunder that followed struck a velvet chord within my soul; I felt as if I had been charged with that inexplicable energy of enlightenment. There was definitely something special about this place.
By the time we reached Telluride, the light show had subsided; the rumbling sounds of thunder in the distance were more romantic than threatening. The rain continued in its downpour, and the sound of raindrops on the car roof became comforting.
Rather than attempting to set up camp, we decided to look for a moderately priced hotel to fit our college-bound budgets. It was the summer of 1970, and I was eighteen years old – an age when we seem to feel intelligent, confident, and innocent all at once. We spent the night in the old Roma Hotel, and the rain continued throughout the night. The roof leaked a bit, the saggy iron bed creaked, and the rust-stained sink and toilet were down the hall, but I was just glad to have a place to sleep, out of the weather.
The morning dawned clear and bright. My friend and I walked the streets of town, checking out the old, boarded up Victorian houses and dilapidated storefronts. We could feel the ethereal quality of the moment, as if we were in a place suspended in time. Plans had been announced to turn Telluride into a ski resort, and the development that would follow was certain to change the unique character of the town. Being a skier, I was excited by the idea, but having been born in Colorado and witnessing its growth and exploitation, I felt sorry for the little town. I wanted to protect it, to save it…to somehow help it maintain its integrity.
I returned to Telluride in 1977 to make it my home…
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) The 2012 full Harvest Moon is a lunation of great cosmic significance, and especially so for the Ram. The metamorphic planetary square of revolutionary Uranus in Aries to transformational Pluto in Capricorn is illuminated to such an intense degree that you can see far beyond the normal limits of reality. It’s all about personal change and you are it.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) Venus, traditional ruler of both Taurus and Libra, plays a major role in this week’s powerful cosmic dance of lunar and solar light. Feminine and masculine roles collide, calling for both inspirational support and psychological depth. Focus on the wealth of loving kindness and compassion as you follow your personal truth and cultivate inner peace.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) With so much going on in the heavens this week, you may feel as if you’re flying at warp speed through layers of darkness and light, good and evil, love and hate. Polarities and possibilities collide in a square dance of undeniable power and potential. The challenge is to remain calm and confident amidst the chaos and change. Do your best. You will survive.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Moonchildren often celebrate the Harvest Moon with festivities of abundance, gratitude and grace. Activities that honor the Mother Earth, nurture family and friends or put you in synch with the universe are certain to touch your heart and uplift your spirit. As the world continues to appear more and more crazy, find peace at home. Count your blessings.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Voluptuous Venus in fiery Leo ignites passion and excites romance as the cosmos continues to flame red-hot with desire and intrigue. Attractions are strong, mysterious possibilities tantalize the imagination and excite action. Look behind the façade and discover what’s really going on inside. What appears to be so is most likely not. Enjoy the heat but don’t get burnt.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) You may feel a bit confused and out-of-synch with the cosmos and yet unable to detach yourself from what’s going on. The recent Virgo new Moon comes to fruition this week in Libra/Aries, calling upon the Virgin to maintain composure, practice balance and cultivate inner peace. Guess what? Even with so much change and challenge, you can do it. Hang in there!
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) Feminine energies and archetypes are called to the front lines as asteroid Ceres forms a cardinal Grand Cross to the T-square of the Sun, Moon, Uranus and Pluto as the Moon grows full. This translates as one of the most challenging and dynamic breakthrough potential weeks of the entire year. Keep the peace, inside and out. Listen to your heart, follow the light.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) Mars in Scorpio is your ally this week as the ancient god of war and men square dances with voluptuous Venus and wins her heart. Follow your own internal wisdom as you embrace the deep inherent passion of your heart. Relax and feel the power of eternity as you ride the rolling river of transformation and metamorphosis. You are a sacred warrior of love and light.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) As you immerse yourself in the ever-evolving river of life and go with the cosmic flow, you may discover just how magical and magnificent life can be when you let go and relax. Your naturally positive, optimistic, can-do approach to conflict and challenge works well for you and others. So well, that you are in high demand. Cultivate healthy boundaries, practice self-care.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) This is a snap, crackle, pop week of power and potential for the Mountain Goat, when you may find yourself doing more and sleeping less than usual. Pressure from partners, self-willed agendas and business or politics in general has you running. Take time to slow down and breathe. One day at a time, do the next right thing and know you are blessed.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) A Venus square to Mars and the lunar nodes in fixed signs may have you feeling challenged in relationships or romance. Be as calm and composed as possible, in spite of the rapidly shifting tides. Cosmic messages emanate throughout the ethers. Tune in your antennae and prepare to receive. Angels and devils dance in the moonlight. Pick your partner.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) It may all feel overwhelming, too much or simply ridiculous. The national political scene, the craziness of society, the ever-evolving consciousness of the human psyche and the seeming lack of goodness. Whatever you are doing, thinking and feeling, never forget your connection to the divine. You are a miraculous work in progress. Be the change you want the world to be.

The Stellar Beauty and Bounty of the Autumn Earth Walk
Autumn Equinox, a day of celestial equilibrium and balance, a time for looking at our own lives as we live them here on Earth and balancing what we see with the eternal mystery and magic of the cosmos.
Life and eternity, chaos and creation, the finite and infinite; the cosmic perspective in all its metaphysical glory. It is here we intuit the inherent humility of the human experience, its fragility and grace, the unfathomable miracle of birth delivered with the certainty of death. What is our purpose, why are we here?
As the final days of summer surrender to the first glorious days of autumn, take note of what is going on inside you. Do the changing colors and morphing landscapes touch something deep, stir your soul and awaken your heart? Are you also being called upon to transform and change, shape-shift with the seasons and relinquish all illusions of control? The Sun and Moon are rising and setting directly east and west. The hours of day and night are equal. The air is cooler, the mornings crisp. We cannot stand in the way of natural cycles, but become one with them. After all, we are the ocean and the sea, the sand, surf and sunshine. The Moon pulls the tides and keeps time with the Sun. The stars speak of our cosmic origin, call to our eternal soul and immutable spirit. We are all and nothing, the alpha and the omega, the end and the beginning.
Happy Autumn and may your Earth Walk be tempered with the stellar beauty and boundless bounty of our ever-expanding, forever changing Universe. Peace, joy and starlight.
Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) The Sun enters Libra on Sept. 23rd and initiates the season of autumn. This begins the second half of your solar year, when you move from an intensely personal focus to one that includes others. It is a time of relating, sharing and pairing. A time to consider alternative perspectives, opinions and approaches. Practice listening and cultivate balance.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) Autumn Equinox takes place this week, and with it comes some rather deep, emotional and spiritual shifts. You may see just how impossible it is to control what other people think, feel and do. Once again, it is leadership by example, and attraction rather than promotion. Inner peace comes via inner work, self-improvement and right action. Keep it clean.
Gemini (May 21-June 21) Generous, good-luck, good-fortune planet Jupiter in mid-Gemini continues to open doors of opportunity and growth as autumn begins. This is an influence that will continue for months, one that promises to open your mind and heart to the many-faceted possibilities of the ever-expanding universe. Go in directions that feel good. Follow the light.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Voluptuous Venus in passionate Leo and jovial Jupiter in joking Gemini may have you spinning the wheel when it comes to love and romance. Not quite sure who is sincere and who is not? Take time for yourself, commune with nature and listen to what your heart says. This is a week and season of personal self-authority and direction. Follow inner truth.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Others find you sweet and attractive now, don't let them down. Venus in your sign encourages personal balance and equanimity when it comes to others. Identify the positive aspects of your relationships and focus on solutions rather than problems. Negotiations and settlements are favored now, as you can see both sides of issues and situations. Maintain the peace.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) Autumn celebrates and honors the Virgo goddess of harvest with its cornucopia of color, fruit and produce. As the zodiac month of your personal solar year begins, take the bull by the horns and ride it to the bell. Pat yourself on the back for jobs well done and recognize the awesome power of personal choice. Show up and suit up. Be here now.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) As Saturn winds its way through the last degrees of Libra, you may feel its powerful hand on your proverbial shoulder. These last few years have been far from easy. Losses, realizations and actual physical changes are part and parcel of this transit. You have emerged as a more practical, mature and competent version of what you were. Congratulations.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) Sensitive, sensuous and emotional might describe how you feel as the Sun moves from virginal Virgo in to light-loving Libra. Autumn evokes both soul and spirit for the Scorpion. Changing leaves and seasons stir energies in a metamorphic pot of mutation and transformation. Embrace the inner god or goddess and dance with the divine. Wild and free.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) Ruler Jupiter in Gemini, your solar 7th house of important others continues broadening the limits of your relationships and commitments. It is a joyful dance of interaction and expansion. Keep an open heart and mind when it comes to sharing, pairing and exploring partnership. Whether it is for a day or a year, you are ready to join force. Go for good.
Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) Friends and associates may push and pull you toward goal achievement or group involvement. Whatever the manifestation, this is an excellent time to pursue your dreams and aspirations. Seek out people whom you admire and respect, want to be like or hold in high esteem. We become like the energy we surround ourselves by, so make sure it is good.
Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Sandwiched between numinous Neptune in Pisces and transformational Pluto in Capricorn, your Aquarian Sun is influenced by the powerful forces of heaven and hell. Whether it is demonic force or angelic presence, maintain your equilibrium and focus on goodness, gratitude and grace. Life is all about choices. Take your time and make the right ones.
Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) We all suffer losses. How we deal with these losses is what makes all the difference. It is not what happens to us that determines our character, our experience, our karma and our destiny, but how we relate to what happens. With Neptune in Pisces, loss and lack of control are poignant. Simply know that it is how you handle it that counts.
